Super friendly front desk staff, nice hotel and as always great breakfast

Housekeeping staff were friendly and all said Good Morning when I saw them. Having a hot breakfast to start the day was nice. Free parking was a nice to have which is something I always look for when staying at a hotel.

The hotel was clean and pretty quiet. The front desk was kind and professional. The breakfast was super delicious and had a lot of variety! The crew was on top of cleaning the areas and refilling the food items as they dwindled. The only thing I’d say was negative was there were some construction trucks there…possibly guests at the hotel, and their truck’s backup beeping started early in the mornings. Also, the bathroom didn’t seem to have a vent and when we entered our room for the first time it smelled like someone dropped a number 2 before they checked out. Other than that, our 2 night stay was great.

My family if 4 plus our dog stayed here one night. It was clean, nice staff and had everything we needed while passing through for the night.

My room was covered in hair. The shower was also covered in hair, had black foot marks on the floor and shower head was disgusting. Its smelt horrible, wall paper in bathroom was peeling all the way up the wall. The cushions in the breakfast area were disgusting and stained. The supervisor wouldnt help or let us cancel the room. For $500 a night i except more. I will never get a room here again.

Nice new hotel west of the more touristy Boardwalk area and close to the campus. We walked a few blocks to a brewery for an early evening drink and dinner. Overall it's in a quiet area with houses behind the property but still on a main street. They have several EV chargers available which made it very convenient to charge the car overnight. Some traffic noise was noticeable as we settled in for the night but it dissipated by 10pm. Also few dining options were open after 8pm that night. Parking is a bit tight so you don't want to arrive too late and not find a spot.

This hotel appears very new and clean. Great location! If you like the west end of Santa Cruz, you can’t beat it. Short drive or walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and beaches. The hotel breakfast was standard and fine. Parking is included and easy.

Exceptional

Location was great for walking to the nearby brewpubs and shops, easy access to walking trail. However, our room was facing Mission St and it was super noisy from cars driving by throughout the night and morning. They didn't have any rooms on the first floor so only floor was second floor. There were stairs to get out and let you out on the street, which was convenient with dogs, but door doesn't open from the outside so always had to go inside to get to room. All in all, it was fine, convenient and easy.

All around great hotel. Safe area walking distance to the beach, coffee, bars, an everything you need. Clean, quiet, good little breakfast too! Always enjoy my time here.

Good dog friendly place. A little loud at night from the cars since it’s on a major street; window sound insulation is not very good.

Room was spacious and pretty clean Shower wasn’t really set up great, shower head was super low I know it was handicap accessible but still wasn’t the greatest shower set up.

Makes you wonder what else they skip on. Not what I expected at all and will be finding another place to stay when we visit our son at college.
