But my stay last night, in Room 2, was horrible. It seemed like I had entered into a portal to the Cenobite dimension. Nothing worked. The water pressure was so low, it took an hour to half fill the tub for a bath. It only dribbled out of the shower. The internet didn't work, no matter which one I tried. The TV refused to connect to any program and kept telling me I had to log into the internet to use it. The curtains were see through, to the point that I could see everything going on outside after dark, and people could see into the room. The steps into the room were like doom steps. No warning that the door opens into a drop off, so if you're half asleep, it's bad news walking out the door. And of course, you want to blow dry your hair in front of a mirror? Good luck, you will find no plug here, except for the plug that it attached to the wall switch, which was also why the fridge couldn't stay running. Light off? No fridge. Light on? No sleep. To make matters worse, the power just went off in the middle of the night. I was so anxious to get out of there that I left by 6:30 am. I was done being Pinhead's plaything. Like seriously, welcome to pain. That was all this visit was. I really liked this motel for my first stay, but honestly after this last stay, I don't think I will ever return.

You get what you paid for! Noisy window air conditioner. TV that never worked, even though both nights I went to desk to complain and was given instructions that didn't help.

Great value and quality, very clean place, pleasant decorations in the room and on the territory of hotel. Great location, very close to all the main things and plaza. Very well taken care, fresh paintings and such.

Clean, with everything you need on your travels. Needs modernising, uncomfortable bed/mattress. A little far out of the centre so couldn’t really wonder anywhere without driving but was right on route ready for the next day.

Location was ideal for Indian market. A little run down but for rt 66 motel it was cool

Super cute old route-66 style hotel, clean and comfortable with a convenient, if not beautiful, location. The wireless was really horrible. Practically non-functional.

The staff was amazing. Great location. The electric to the room was hooked up to the main light switch, meaning when it was lights out everything on charge never charged. The bed was not comfy at all and not enough pillows for two people.

I just needed a room without a lot of amenities - place was perfect for me. Super cute rooms and building and very clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I plan to stay here again!

The Cottonwood Motel room is small and charmingly old-fashioned but offered all basic amenities. I could not turn on any lights or any electrical items like the fridge or microwave. It took me a while to realize that a small switch at the door turned on the entire electricity in the room. A note would have been helpful.

I like the set up. Perfect for Santa Fe. Has a retro vibe with a southwestern and artsy esthetic. The local magazines and maps left on the office desk were a special touch.

This is a lovely and quaint old motel right on Cerrillos, so the location is great. The outside of the motel is beautifully painted and very sweet. The interior was dark and would be beautiful if more care had been taken with painting and decorating. I realize the renovation is done on a budget: the furnishings are quirky, but functional. I read the reviews about unsafe features outside, but I did not experience any of that. It was an acceptable place to stay & good breakfast place almost next door (the Pantry). I come to Santa Fe frequently & this place is convenient and the price is right. I will probably stay here again.
