Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows

There was a private event during my first night causing loud noise, followed by loud noise from the bungalow bar until late. Really disrupted my sleep. When I raised this with reception they said I couldn’t move rooms. It wasn’t until late the second day that they texted me to say they wanted to speak to me and only then notified me that they could switch my room, by then damage had already been done. This should had been acted on straight away when I raised my concern at reception. Rooms are very dated and AC not functioning properly.

Property is very nice and rooms are spacious I paid for ocean view and got side view to the ocean. It was not as indicated on the pictures. The swimming pool is small and crowded. Waiters at the restaurant are very rude and asking for higher tips and if you dont give them they will laugh ironicaly and make faces at you for giving them tip that they think is small for example I gave 5$ and it was not enough. Parking vallet is the most expensive I have ever seen in my life. For two days I paid 190$ and noone ever pointed this out when I arrived.

Location, friendly staff at reception, valet, by the pool. Food was yummy at breakfast and in the lounge bar. Good housekeeping and great views. Nothing really we enjoyed our stay

I loved just about everything! Really lovely facilities and staff was so accommodating and professional. Attention to detail from staff that began even before we arrived. Good dining options onsite and also appreciated full service salon since I needed hair and makeup done for a wedding. Lots of storage in bedroom as well as in sitting room. Happy to see nespresso pixie for in room coffee (although not all have them, some have Kurig). Nice surprise to find fruit and chocolates waiting in room at check in! Breakfast potatoes at Fig are too spicy. Keep them spice free and let folks add at the table. Toilet flush was a bit loud. Also lack of storage in bathroom. Would be easy to add a small chest of drawers under sink.

Great location and common areas. A bit of everything so convenient. Fun ambiance and accessable by foot for great restaurants and shopping. The room we got in the tower, and supposedly we got an upgrade, was not as nice as it looks on the pictures. definitely could use a bit of love. Views were spectacular.

Room and hotel was very nice. Nice location and close to the pier and restaurants. Bus from LAX was $1.50pp and is almost door to door.

Excellent location across from the cliff top. Room 1039 had an excellent sea view. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast (at additional cost) Bedroom and bathroom "tired". No walk-in shower. Bathroom in particular is in need of renovation.

Loved the tropical and private vibe. The pool Was excellent and staff was BEYOND polite! The Bungalow was not huge but felt very private and like a beach house. I’ve already booked my return stay next week! The restaurant was I’d say just slightly better than average. Service was still good but the food itself I wouldn’t call amazing. Sausage was odd and flavorless like it was boiled, and overall it just didn’t live up to the standards the rest of the hotel set. It was also extremely expensive for what it was. An omelette a coffee and a Bloody Mary for $100 (without tip) seemed steep to me even for a Fairmont.
