Gustav Bali Homestay and Massage

The common area for cooking was very clean and nice. Although x1 gas cooker not working, has apparently hasn't been not working for some time. I bought to there attention but will probably remain that way unfortunately. Location is great. Great value and quite modern. Because I booked Gustav for the cooking facilities would have been better to have the two gas outlets working instead of just one gas burner. Otherwise couldn't fault the homestay.

It's difficult to think of anything ... maybe the terrace area for chilling out. Single locking door, only manual mortise lock that you must remember to lock. If you only close the door, anyone could open and just walk in. No top sheet, only an oil stained bedcover. (The homestay offers in room massages, hmm ... I hope those were 'Oil stains'. Check the windows. There is a single aluminium bolt located mid casement on the left of each window. Check its locked, but still very insecure. Property located on a pedestrian only through route, so no parking and can get a little noisy with revellers taking the shortcut late at night.

Nice homestay with a lovely owner in a good location for sanur. Kept our room clean and had a nice space for people to chill/meet. Room was very small for a couple

Nice central but quiet location set back of Jalan Danau Tamblingan behind the 101 Sanur. Four clean, compact rooms with plenty of space in the balcony kitchen outside. Staff are helpful and accommodating. Great price. No room for a motorcycle but Sanur is a good place to hire one. No complaints.

It was very clean and had excellent Decor . The kitchen was good. It was just too noisy for me ,bikes beeping all day .

Quiet ,clean , staff accommadate with needs when they can , massages down stairs , laundry down stairs ,great location ,good food at old brick 200 metres away ,main street at end of road with everything you need , ,access to a kitchen on a nice deck and a fridge , and security on veranda to rooms so safe , great shower hot hot

Location is great 30 second walk to the main road, easy to walk everywhere yet it’s quiet to sleep. Hot shower, a safe for your belongings, the bed was so comfortable and clean. The place is clean and tidy, the people were friendly. There is a card laundry on site, for 26k you can do a big load of laundry wash and dry no weight limits. Nothing, it was perfect for me - if you’re a couple you might find it a little small.

I had a wonderful stay at Gustav Bali Homestay! The room was cozy and charming, perfectly designed to feel both intimate and relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and consistently hot water. One of the highlights of my stay was the discount massage offered—a perfect way to unwind. The location is fantastic, close to the city center, making it easy to explore local attractions. It was also easy to find the homestay, and the owner were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. I highly recommend Gustav Bali Homestay for anyone looking for a cozy, clean, and relaxing place to stay in Bali. I can’t wait to visit again! However, the only downside was the small stairs leading to the rooms. They were a bit narrow, especially when carrying luggage. That said, it didn’t overshadow the many positives of the stay. I would still recommend Gustav Bali Homestay for its excellent amenities and wonderful atmosphere, but just be mindful of the stairs!

Really comfortable bed, well working shower and lovely host who was accommodating with our late check in and gave us a great restaurant recommendation that was still open late. There is a steep staircase up to the room and we had big bags, which wasn't super practical, but the host helped us to carry the luggage upstairs.

It was a surprise to find this place hidden in the laneway. We were impressed with the room, it was clean and comfortable with the added bonus of having a shared kitchen and lounge room on the balcony. It'd be perfect for a family group. Great location in central Sanur, nextdoor to the supermarket. I would stay here again.
