Extended Stay America Suites Chicago Schaumburg Conv Center

This was absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in all of my life! The room smelled musty, the mirrors were covered in slime and goop dried on. There were large chips out of the kitchen and bathroom counters, not a single trash can to be found and the room was absolutely filthy. Both the shower and bathroom sink didn't have anything in the drain hole other than the glop that should've been cleaned out, it was just wide open. Yuck!! This hotel should've been updated 20 years ago. It's a toss up which was the "highlight" the used knee high stocking plugging the door peephole or the random vagrant living on the luggage cart in the parking lot. The included breakfast was packaged muffins and a granola bar. This fabulously horrible offering was situated betweed 2 vending machines that shared the hotel's front desk. If I could rate this hotel a minus 20, that would still be too generous. Absolutely avoid this s...t hole at all costs!!

Bad

One main door wasn’t working at all. Second door was wide open doesn’t shut down third door was open, not locked. That was after midnight. Breakfast was included, but there was no breakfast. It’s only coffee and muffin

Clean room but very dark hallway decor no silverware or plates in the room, unlike MaimStay which did offer plates and utensils

It was bad experience I found a cockroach in the room the tv was froze on a channel and couldn’t be fixed even if I turned it off the desk worker barely understood anything I was saying

Nothing but it was close to ztores It wasn't clean the doorknob on the room was broken it smelled bad in hallways . No breakfast at all . The room was just nasty I had to go to the store get cleaning supplies n my own sheets just so I'm comfortable

Nice small breakfast to go Don't change sheets or towels while still there, even over two and a half weeks.

The staff were helpful but the property was not optimally maintained and very poor in terms of experience

There was nothing to like. I've stayed at Extended Stat locations before, this was the 1st at this location and will be the last. I was refunded because the 1st room, the electrical plugs didn't work, the phone didn't work, and the TV didn't work. The 2nd room was no better. After complaining the 3rd time we were offered a refund which we graciously accepted.

Location The guy in the wheelchair in front of the motel smoking weed trying to sell me gift cards. As soon as I got in the room, turned on the light, cockroaches were running everywhere. Immediately walked out & demanded a full refund!!!

Breakfast should have way more variety.
