Incredible room. Incredible staff. Incredible property all around. The staff is very warm and English proficiency tends to be quite high. The hotel was unbelievably accommodating given our unusual travel situation (early morning arrival via overnight bus, followed by a late afternoon departure from an airport an hour away). Simply excellent!

The air conditioning wasn't enough to cool the entire room, and nobody was around to help with the drinks service at the pool

Breakfast was terrific and the service was super excellent. All of them were great and attentive. Our overall stay vastly exceeded any expectations we might have had. They treated us like family. The facilities were excellent and super clean. They did The little things that make a good experience a wow experience. Off the hook great. The location is in a quiet neighborhood and is like an oasis. It was safe and close to people who live and work there so a real experience and not just a resort experience but Don’t get me wrong the place was so beautiful and it was our favorite hotel and we stayed at some Really nice ones. It was a five star hotel for us with the feel you are really in Cambodia. We became friends with the folks there and David the owner is wonderful. I asked his staff about him and they all said he was a great boss. I’m telling you, this is a gem unless you want to stay in more traditional resorts like Raffles. But to me hotels like Raffles could be anywhere. This hotel felt like what we have come to know as Cambodia. These are some of the nicest people I have met in my life. Would go again in a heartbeat and would stay here for sure. I give it 10 stars. Nothing. It was perfect.

The room was what we advertised. Breakfast was wonderful. Since it has a small hotel, breakfast was freshly prepared for everyone and not a buffet. Dinner options are great if you don't feel like going to the downtown area. We had 2 minor issues, but they were taken care of right away. Our air conditioner didn't work properly. They did fix it right away once we mentioned it to them. I can't say enough about the staff.

Everything was exceptional

The room was lovely and peaceful. The shower was outdoors, as was the toilet—which isn’t exactly my preference, but everything worked well. Just a 5-minute tuk tuk ride to Pub Street. The staff were excellent—friendly, respectful, and very kind. My son and I enjoyed the complimentary massage, which was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, and the airport shuttle was a great bonus. We were even greeted with fresh coconut for the ride. We also booked tours to Angkor Wat, the surrounding temples, and Kulen Mountain through the hotel’s recommendations—the drivers were all wonderful and made the experience even better. We got a "7 stars" treatment and services. The room and facilities are remarkable and the staff overwhelming. Special thanks to the manager, Mr. Binn, who gave us a kind personal treatment, that made this a unique great experience, even for frequent travelers like us. Thank you Ms Toot for amazing service at the SPA. Thanks to all the others for a great service with a smile. You made Cambodia a place that we want to visit again soon. We were diverted to a sister hotel - Shintana Saya La Maison. It appears that the Residence has been closed for renovation for already a month and will stay under renovation for 6 months more. We were not notified about it before, and have paid already the higher rate of the Residence. Nevertheless, our Residence package was upgraded and the staff gave us extra perks and benefits, which made our vacation unforgettable.

We found the service for transporting guests to the city center a bit frustrating. We clearly mentioned that we needed to go to the Duty Free Market to catch the airport bus, but the staff repeatedly asked us the same question about the location, which we felt they should have been familiar with. Finally, we went by ourselves using grab.

Beautiful property, well decorated, very comfortable The only negative comment is that it is slightly out of town, which may actually be an advantage.. They offer a free Tuk truck ride in and out of town so problem is solved.

We didn't like that we only stayed 2 days. We want to comeback with our families next time.

Room felt a little tired.

Shintana provides an oasis experience, just outside of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap. The staff is incredibly attentive and the property is stunning. My wife and I stayed here for 3 days, after a week of exploring the region, and ended up staying on site at the entire time due to its full service amenities and relaxing environment.

My best hotel experience during this trip. Everything was more than perfect. The house is beautiful with a very nice garden and pool. The rooms are more like small studios, very spacious and modern. The shower was a real rain forest shower that I enjoyed every time. The location was not too far from the main stuff to see. The service was more than excellent from beginning to end. A big crowd of staff is there with a big smile and treating you like a king. From airport pick up that was freely offered in my booking option that received us in a modern SUV with coconut and sented towels to clean our hands and water bottles to how we were greates at the entrance of the hotel…whatever I asked for, was done immediately. It is a small residence so it feels like we had the entire place to ourselves. We also had free massage daily as part of our booking promotion. I expected a cheap massage but it was a very professional one and one of the best I ever had. The hotel also arranged all our activities and transport and reservations very professionally and all at decent price. They accept US dollars for payment but I think it is a common thing in Cambodia wherever I went. I also had in room dining and it was delicious and at a decent price. What I am about to say here is really a minor detail and I would recommend this place to anybody visiting Cambodia but just mentioning here the following cause everything else is perfect. Siem reap is not a big urban city so this hotel is on a side street of the city and the outside surrounding doesn’t match the little paradise you find inside this residence. So don’t expect a wow view from the upper level rooms. I have a family member who uses a wheelchair (who was not travelling with me this time), but I am also sensitive to wheelchair accessibility wherever I go in the world. So this hotel does have steps to get in and the upper level doesn’t have access with elevator. However, I am sure if my wheelchair family member was with me, the staff would help lift him up and do whatever it takes to welcome him. So this is just a side note for future improvements on accessibility. Now this last one is super tiny also, but as much as I liked how modern the bathroom is and how there is double sink in the bathroom, but the sinks were so big that there was no space for my bathroom stuff and make up. I could store them underneath but when I need to use them, it wasn’t as comfortable. Just a tiny “women” complain. But overall, this is a more than perfect place to stay and I wish I could stay longer there
