The Urban is FABULOUS. My stay was 7 nights. The staff is willing to assist with any issue or question you may have. Sam, the on-sight Manager works extremely hard and is hands on at the property. I begin my stay in a small double room and when I realized it was a great location to make home base. I moved to a Terrace room on the 1st floor. I utilized the onsite gym, restaurant, spa (best message in a long time), laundry service and the pool. The property is well maintained and clean. After traveling for 1 year, I have certain things I need in place to feel at peace...This place felt like HOME. That I only stayed 7 days. No issues with The Urban.

I was given an upgraded room to be moved to their sister property right across the street “The Jungle”. It was a true resort feel. The staff as great and Michael was specifically great to deal with with all my needs including transport for temples, laundry, and any need you may have . If you are coming for Angkor temples I would highly recommend hiring a tuk tuk and requesting Mooney. I did the petite and grand circuit and they he had Cold towels and water after every temple visit and maintained great communication while waiting or me at all stops each day. They also have a great pool and restaurant with rooms that are comfortable and the hotel is in a great location.

I like that the room was extremely cozy given its size and had all of the required furniture for a deep and restful night of sleep. The Hotel was located extremely close to Pub Street so getting about around the city was extremely quick and easy whether by walking or by Tuk Tuk! It was also meant that there was endless amount of food options ranging from established restaurants to street vendors. This place is great for travellers who wishes to continue to feel the vibrant night life till late night and not have to worry about transportation back to the hotel. I also liked the mission of The Urban which placed an emphasis on sustainability; choosing to use more environmentally friendly methods of running the hotel; the complimentary tree planting session was a cool added bonus, reduced water usage through various methods like use of laundry rack for continued use of laundry items. It also placed an emphasis on developing local community through their integration with internship opportunities for local university students. This initiative allows for unique opportunities for local youth, an effort that is worth commending and supporting! I didnt like that afternoon tea selection was abit limited and certain parts of the hotel felt abit disconnected; for example the gym appeared to be abit abrupt (gym equipment housed in a small rectangular structure) perhaps an outdoor gym with natural material like wooden blocks would add to the overall green and sustainable asesthetic of the hotel.
