Hampton Inn & Suites South Lake Tahoe

I loved the property. The room was great and staff was friendly

Only complaint - EV vehicles were given the best parking spaces and they used less than 30% of the spots. So we parked farther out because ??

I booked a wheelchair accessible room but I was given a regular room and I had a terrible time. Breakfast was not up to the mark.

spacious and clean rooms, new building (everything feels new). Staff seemed attentive and helpful.

Bad internet, cut out every couple of minutes. May be due to location of our room. Parking $15/day for nine days! Only one staff member spoke English. Hotel is very nice though.

Clean and nicely kept. Bed was comfortable. Location was good. Walking distance to heavenly village shopping center. Breakfast was great nice selection. Pricing was overrated for 2 nights 850. But I guess that’s Lake Tahoe for ya. Upon arrival, staff had asked if we had a car and we said no because we rode with family. Upon checkout, we got our security deposit back which was 130. I checked out on a Sunday and then on Monday I saw there was a pending charge on my card for $100 so I called and asked the staff about that and they originally told me it was because of me having a car and I had explained to them that I did not have a car and they said that they saw note of that in that charge would be dropped or should disappear in a couple of days in the hold would be returned to me. And then on Wednesday, I had noticed another charge from them which was for $30 after the hundred dollar pending charge disappeared. Again and spoke to someone and she said it was due to parking and I explained to her that I did not have the car for the 50th bill time and said she Saw note of it and would refund me and should return in a couple days. By Thurs the 30 dollar charge actually went through so then I had to call yet again and spoke with the manager and said it was refunded but might not show up til Monday and to call back then if not. So to say the least I was not happy with all these charges and complications. I don’t think I will stay here again honestly it’s the principle it’s not even about the money I shouldn’t have to deal with all this while still on vaca bc I went to Disney right after.

We love staying here. The location, staff and amenities are great! Unfortunately we always have a hard time sleeping here because of other guests. Kids running and yelling in the halls at 3am or jumping in the rooms at midnight and pounding on the floors (this hotel has 4 floors) So we just always take one for the team and sleep bad because our son loves staying here.

Excellent location, very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Has a bar with beer and wine (no cocktail) with very engaging bartender. Had an excellent time.
