With all the money you guys want to charge for staying the night you would want to have clean respectable rooms and customer service. We work on the roads around you and work night shift

Horrible place to stay at. Looks like it’s family owned but the office/check in desk is nasty and dirty. They keep a dog there as well. The staff who checked me in was extremely unhelpful. The checkout staff was a little better. The place stinks though and looks like people live in some of these rooms. One room had 2 cats some cars that did not move. Looked like apartments more than a hotel/lodging. Raccoons came because of all the mess due to people who live there. 100% do not recommend staying here at all. Save your money and your well being. Bunch of crackheads I think.

The jacuzzi had some issues. We had to wait to fill it because the got water ran out. Also, the air from the jets smelled bad.

Consider no internet. No antenna and when it does connect, it is so slow it doesn’t even load a page. No coffee maker in the room. Ok clean but the old look will throw you off. Staff were nice.

The rooms were clean just had a weird smell but nothing to bad the ac was working so room was nice and cold working tv and microwave with a mini fridge it was nice and cozy the only thing is that the stairs are a bit old and need work staff was great they communicated perfectly no issues

great stay, had to figure out how to get my keys, finally saw the hotel sent checkin instructions in the app to retrieve my key

This place sent a message my credit card was invalid I have receipt. Then accused me of hitting a car in parking lot and said police came. Left a note on car saying come to office about the accident. The guy who owned car would not listen. Then came out 1 hour later as we were packing and talking to police on phone and said oh sorry we checked cameras it was not you. Don't stay here RUN. HORRIBLE CRAP TO WAKE UP TO.

I am pretty upset as the pictures show the room in a MUCH improved state and that is what I expected. It was embarrassing, I booked the "honeymoon suite" and it legitimately felt like a dingy room you take a hooker to. The oddly positioned couches did not help with this sense either. My wife, upon entering, said it looks like they shoot pornography videos here. Embarrassing for a special night, right? I am a working class local and I do not have exceeding expectations for a room in SLT but this was really sub par.

I've stayed in most of South Lake's "cheap" hotels over the years for 1-nighters between ski days, and this one was probably the best for the price. Spacious with a good bed and good shower. No frills, but thoughtful decorative touches made Trailhead feel fresh, mountain-y and welcoming.

Staff went above and beyond to occomadate for our needs place was very nice

A great deal for a short stay in Tahoe. My wife and I hooked the room with the private jetted tub. It was a decent, clean on our arrival. It's a basic room for a standard price. It is a five star stay for the staff! My wife forgot her inhaler and they were kind enough to call us after we checked out so we could grab it. What service! We will be staying here again next time we are in town.

Got text checking us in, told there’s lockbox with key, front desk open the next day at 8am. Doubt they change the codes to lockboxes so anyone can open and get key to room. And no front desk on a sat? There was a lot of trash around the complex. Back yard, pool. Lots of smokers and wear and tear in the room. Location was good.

The room was very clean, I felt super comfortable! The staff was amazing and super welcoming! I loved it!

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the price was unbeatable!

When we checked in 2nd night, carpet was wet , tv signal was terrible, no chair to sit in the room, commode was dirty, etc

Everything was perfect

Filthy filthy filthy. Stink stink stink. Has to be the worst room in Lake Tahoe. Disgusting. Putrid smell throughout the room. The carpet looked to have dog vomit, urine and feces not cleaned. The room advertises unique decor. I guess a pine light bar and toilet paper folder constitutes decor. The room literally has a bed and a floor light. No chairs to sit down. Stay away from this motel regardless of it's low price. I took photos of the carpet but there's no link to upload.

This is a tale of two cities. Our first night was awful. We were assigned a room that we learned later had not been used in a "couple of months." Noone was there after hours (it's a 8:30-5:30 situation & you get the key from a lock box). The room we were assigned was a paired down version of a hotel room, basic uncomfortable beds, was not cleaned well (wax and stains on the comforters, hair in bed sheets, dirty sink) and it reeked of cat urine. Two of the lamps were not working, and the floor creaked badly and had obvious depressions near the closet. The cat smell was overwhelming, our kids cried and we were near abandoning ship and going somewhere else but all other options were $420+/night at last minute, so we suffered it out and send an email through hotels.com to the management. To their credit, they called us the next morning as soon as they got into the office, reassigned us to a new room and were very apologetic and gave us a discount on the stay. The new room was like a whole new world- clean, more comfortable beds, no odor of pets/cats, functioning lights and appliances, wall decor, nice newer bed covers, and felt more like what we had experienced the first time we stayed here back in 2021. So I pumped up my review based on this change- I think we were assigned that room as an oversight. We did learn that there are people living in this motel full time as residents, and we suspect it is being used as transitional housing, be aware if your travelling with kids.

Room was dirty, smelled and there was people smoking outside. Didn't feel comfortable having my kids at the hotel. We ended up getting a different hotel down the street.
