Upon arrival, the staff were very accommodating and professional. The room was thoroughly clean. Breakfast food items gave a wide selection of fresh food items. The overall experience was wonderful! The staff accommodated every request with professionalism and swiftness. I will recommend and revisit. Overall, this was a wonderful weekend experience. They were the odd one out of all the hotels in the area. They were charging for parking, WiFi and no breakfast. I expected more giving their international nature and reputation. Quite disappointing really

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a serious billing issue that occurred during my two-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Springfield beginning August 7, 2026. This stay was intended to be a special occasion celebrating my son's 15th birthday. Unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable weekend was significantly disrupted by an error involving my payment cards and the way the situation was handled afterward. When I arrived to check in on August 7, I presented my debit card to the front desk attendant. I was informed that the card had declined. I then asked whether I could split the payment between two cards. Because the first card had supposedly declined and other guests were waiting to check in, I ultimately decided to place the entire hotel payment on my credit card instead. My credit card was subsequently charged the full amount of approximately $319. At the time, I assumed my first card had declined because my bank's fraud department may have temporarily blocked the transaction. I planned to contact my bank later and did not think there was anything further to address with the hotel because I had successfully paid for the stay using my second card. The following morning, I took my son out for breakfast as part of his birthday celebration. When I attempted to pay, my debit card was declined again.
