Located in the quiet historic core of Stellenbosch, the property at 5 Minserie Street (Erf 1354) traces its origins to 1928, when the house was built in the Cape Dutch Revival style. Characterized by its distinctive gable, veranda, and symmetrical proportions, the building forms part of the architectural fabric that gives Stellenbosch its unique sense of place. Over time, it has been formally recognized as a Provincial Heritage Site, reflecting both its architectural value and its contribution to the town’s historic streetscape. Originally a private residence, the house was later sensitively adapted into guest accommodations, becoming known as Eendracht Apartments. While retaining its historic character, the interiors were reimagined to reflect elements of the Art Deco period, creating a layered narrative of design across decades. Today, as it enters a new chapter as Boschhuis Apartments – Stellenbosch, the property continues to balance heritage and hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to experience a living piece of Stellenbosch’s history. Very clean, comfortable and location.

We were very late getting in and the front desk person was waiting for us with the keys and the information how to access the property. The parking was tight as we had an SUV.

The location was amazing. Super central. Lock up and go was easy. Secure parking on site with a security guard overnight. Very quiet at night. We stayed in room 4 and the air con was extremely noisy and rattled loudly. Looking at other reviews I see it was also a problem and clearly not resolved. We couldn’t sleep with it on and therefore it was hot. The bedding was also stiff as far as hotel bedding goes.

Excellent location right in the heart of town. Really easy check in process and great and secure parking with an overnight guard. The rooms were fantastic as well -- very clean, comfy, well heated/cooled, very bright too. Awesome spot

Central and safe location. Security on site as well. Room was clean, hot water, stocked kitchen, great wifi. Everything you could need! Paper thin walls. But residents seemed to stay quiet during night time hours for the most part.

It was easy to get keys from the hotel with a reception that was open fairly late until 10pm I believe. Nice to be greeted by the guard. Was not entirely clear for me that the accommodation was another 7-10min walk from the hotel

The staff at the hotel and apartments were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were especially pleased with they way they followed-up after we left an expensive laptop charger in the room. They called us and indicated their procedure for lost and found property. The photographs on the website made the room appear much bigger than what it was.

Spacious and comfortable. Clean. No workstation/desk. Art deco table chairs are uncomfortable.

The bathroom and the noise of other guests. Thankfully there was only one other couple in one of the other rooms. But it’s madness that the headboard in our room backed onto the hallway and was next to the banging front door. There is no need to have another door into the hallway. This should be at least soundproofed/sealed off. The door from the bedroom into the lounge area is also annoying, it bangs into the bathroom door causing obstruction when exiting the bathroom and won’t stay shut unless locked.

Location was excellent, close to all the restaurants and shops. My room was bland, the aircon was too cold for comfort and I tried to change the settings to no avail.
