Located in the pedestrian area around Place Kléber, the historic Maison Rouge features ancient stained-glass windows and rooms decorated with individual character. Guests will benefit from free WiFi throughout the hotel. The rooms at Maison Rouge feature a mini-bar and satellite TV and can accommodate guests with reduced mobility. We had no air conditioning with exceptional heat in France last week. Every time I would tell staff they said they would get back to me about it. They had no other room to move us to and would only offer us 20% off and entry to the spa. Air conditioning is not an extra amenity. It is a necessity! It made our stay extremely uncomfortable. There should be air conditioning with a 5 star hotel stay or compensate should be adequate.

Gorgeous art deco hotel with lovely rooms and bathrooms (a plus for France!)… The parking was challenging but once we called the property, it was fine

The hotel is very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, the bed was excellent, and when we asked for a soft mattress topper for a guest with joint issues, it was provided without any problem. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious à la carte options including eggs and pancakes. The hotel restaurant is also outstanding, although quite small, so it is worth reserving in advance to make sure you get a table. The location is very central. We walked from the train station in about 10 minutes, and the hotel is right in the pedestrian area, with tram stops just outside and a shopping centre next door. Despite the central location, the room was very well insulated and quiet, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. This will definitely be our go-to hotel in Strasbourg. Nothing.

The location was superb to the sights and on the main train line from the train station. Easy access to everything. I booked a larger room. At check in, I was told that I received an upgrade. The room was cramped. When I inquired about room size, I was told that I was given an upgrade. The upgraded room was smaller… but had a balcony they said. The balcony is of no use when it’s 30 degrees and raining. I should have insisted on a room change upon arrival, but we were travel weary, and nothing could be done.

Property was good. Staff in the spa area “accidentally” double booked us and blamed their new colleague when they said we couldn’t enjoy the spa at our scheduled time and so we were unable to use these facilities.

The central location is excellent. Walkable from the train station and to all the neighborhoods surrounding. Front desk staff were efficient and pleasant, and the concierge helpful with dinner reservations. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Robes and slippers are always a plus!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic and made everything easy. We arrived by train from Paris and reached the hotel in about eight minutes by tram. Once you are here, you can walk to almost everything, especially during the Christmas market season. Great cafés, restaurants, pastry shops and the main sights are all right downstairs, which makes it simple to explore and enjoy the city. The staff were friendly, welcoming and multilingual. There is also a nice restaurant on the lobby floor, which adds to the convenience. Our room had a comfortable amount of space and a cozy feel. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which was perfect after full days of walking around the city. The room was clean and had its own distinct decor, which gave it some character. This is also a great base for day trips. Getting to Colmar, Eguisheim and other nearby towns was straightforward and stress free. One small note about our room is that the space between the bed and the wall with the TV was quite narrow, and since that was the path to the bathroom, we ended up walking through that tight spot often.
