The hotel was easy to find, the staff were pleasant, the facilities looked good, the parking was fine (and free of charge), and the restaurant was open from around 7pm serving a 3-course menu (with choices). And the following morning there was a perfectly acceptable breakfast. But, there was one one big but... Initially, the room itself seemed fine, but its en-suite bathroom and toilet had absolutely no ventilation and there was some black mould growing in a couple of places on the ceiling. Overall the room had a slight musty smell, which we noticed when we first went into the room, but which we put down to the fact the room's window was shut. This was a mistake, because it became apparent during the night that the bathroom had a really sickening smell that gradually pervaded the entire room. The only way of reducing the smell in the bedroom was to shut the bathroom door and open the bedroom window wide. Unfortunately this allowed in mosquitos! We did not get a good night's sleep. I advised the guy manning reception in the morning about all this, but maybe he didn't understand my Spanish because all he did was give me the bill. It was a real shame because to be honest other than the smell everything else was fine.

Happy helpful staff Free on site car parking. Continental buffet breakfast included and possible very early for last day when catching early flight. Powerful shower despite old fashioned stand in bath format. Cheap evening set menu but you get what you pay for. I recommend asking for Cava which is not necessarily on wine list but is available. Swimming pool looked dirty and declined to use it. Only one power socket in the room. Tiny non smart TV. No sound proofing of walls.

Yes, the premices and the rooms are a little outdated, but our bed was comfortable, the place is very quiet, the breakfast is definitely fine. The Locos Beach is about 10 minutes away (and a hundred stairs!). Staff was friendly. Carpark available for free. Maybe they could offer better drinks and snacks. And change the tapestry, and the bathrooms.

Staff were helpful. The food was good. Room was nice but the bathroom needs an update.

Everything is very old, the lamps in the room were not working, the entire hotel smells like old..like they never open the windows. The food they offer for breakfast was not fresh. I would not spend more than one night in this hotel..

Good location , nice staff though overworked. Onsite parking. Room ( 208 at least) needs updating. Only one electric socket. TV was 14" . I have no problem with well behaved dogs, but draw the line when allowed into the swimming pool area.

the room felt cramped, and with the humid climate and no A/C, our clothes wouldn’t dry and smelled terrible by the end of our stay. the bathroom could use a fan too.

Ease of parking. Good location for Santander. Nice breakfast. Good price. Over fussy check in regard to our well travelled, well behaved 13 year old dog.
