I liked everything about my stay at Majapahit. Staying at this century old hotel for me was as much an experience as accommodation. A step back to an age of class and elegance with all of the modern conveniences . Friendly staff, outstanding breakfast, wonderful large pool, high ceilings and authentic room furnishings are just a few of the things that make this place outstanding. I was in room 158 . That it couldn’t take it with me!

This is an historic, beautiful hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It is nice just to walk around the grounds. There was nothing that I didn't like.

The hotel was fairly close to what was expected for an historical hotel. The rooms are large and the shower had good water pressure. The architecture and gardens are very nice. The gym opened at 7am, which did not work for my schedule. The sauna had to be turned on when requested taking an hour to heat up.

Everything! I have stayed in various 5*hotels around the world, Majapahit not only meets the standard of a 5* hotel, it breaths history and culture. A 6* in Dubai or US can’t compete with Majapahit!

The history of the building and its allure Old and Dilapidated. Huge humidity and bad airco system… rats running around in the garden … THIS IS A 5 STAR HOTEL for God sake

Gorgeous historic hotel in a super convenient central location in Surabaya. The staff were fantastic, very nice and helpful, and service was excellent in every respect. The rooms are palatial in size, comfortable, and mostly well appointed. The pool area and the grounds are exceptionally lovely and well-maintained. The bathrooms are in serious need of renovation to bring them up to a modern standard—they are quite dated and the fixtures are worn. We also had trouble with our thermostat, which blew out super-cold air no matter what we set it to (we eventually just turned it off altogether and the temperature was fine).

I always stay here when in Surabaya. This is a beautiful old world hotel, with fantastic vintage furniture in beautiful and huge rooms with lovely decor and with all mod cons, and is situated bang in the middle of Surabaya. Checkin is swift and easy, and the staff are well trained and courteous. This is by no means the cheapest high end place in Surabaya but, without a doubt, it is the best value for what you get. And it is the most historical, interesting and the best located hotel. Surabaya doesn't really have more than a weekend's worth of attractions, but this hotel is a major attraction itself, and is a short walk to all the other attractions that Surabaya has to offer. Not only that, it is strategically located near a large Mall, with great shopping, ATMs, and food options. The hotel also has a great bar for socialising. There is nothing to dislike.
