Sleepy Hollow Hotel, a Dolce by Wyndham

The room we booked was “ out of order “ I ended up in a smaller room that couldn’t fit my family. We were told Expedia would be refunded. When checking out and asking for my Expedia refund I was told the manager will call you in the morning. That’s all. Just to leave and then be charged 900 dollars on the card that I used for deposit for a tiny room that I did not ask for. Really bad business.

The property was fine, but the cleaning staff was incredibly loud for over 2 hours in my hallway even asking multiple times to quit letting the doors slam, etc. They took my used towels but didn’t put clean ones back. I asked cleaning person for some wash cloths and she said they had none. I had to go to the front desk to ask for more. The cleaning staff needs to be more aware of people in their rooms.

My room was next to the back entrance of the building to the parking lot. Throughout the evening and night, I could hear the slamming of the door. I woke up to the noise several times even with earplugs in my ears. Not a restful night.

It was clean and a good location. We felt very out of place. Housekeeping was not good. They actually picked up the dirty towels off the floor and hung them back on the rack. Breakfast was not included. We felt very out of place.

Housekeeping didn't clean the room. They put dirty towel back up for use. We ran out of YlTP twice.

No amenities in room. No hair dryer. No menu. Very noisy. Room does slamming all night. Put pads on door jams so others aren’t disturbed. Very disappointing.

Not clean, hair in the tub. Elevator didn’t work. Long walk to room. Outside garden unavailable if an event was scheduled

The beds aren’t to good. Everything else is good for the price. They need to update the rooms soon like they did with the sofas in the entrance of the hotel.

The location was perfect for us as we were in town for one night and wanted to be near our function so as not to deal with long traffic delays. Check-in was seamless. Room was and bathroom were clean and Beds were comfortable. The air condition was the issue that would keep me from recommending. Not sure if all rooms have the same unit as it is a large hotel, but it is so loud and noisy that we couldn't sleep, and my spouse usually sleeps thru everything. We were dealing with 90 plus degree weather so we had to use it. If you don't need the air condition there is no issue.

It was close to what we needed it to be and thats it. Nothing else we good at all. Dirty, hallways, rooms, poor shape. Needs to be gutted and start over. Killed a roach as we entered the room. Smells bad everywhere, and just sprayed over to try to cover. Bathtub leaks from the fixture. Tolet doesn't flush well. Iron didnt worked. Walls are poorly insulated, got woken up at 5am to the neighbors above "doing things" and we will leave it at that. Terrible place to stay. We were traveling and had no other place to stay.

The bathroom could use updating. The shower and tile areas showed wear, and some caulking was missing. The toilet has a unique flushing system that is extremely loud and would likely wake anyone sleeping. There was also no exhaust fan in the bathroom, making it feel very humid and uncomfortable after showering. We stayed with three people, but the toiletries provided were minimal — only one small travel-size body soap, a 2-in-1 shampoo, and one separate conditioner bottle. The double beds were also quite small for two adults, and overall I expected better bed quality from this hotel. A microwave in the room would have been appreciated as well.

Our room was clean but obviously older and could use an upgrade. The staff would respond if we said good morning but nobody had a smile to give. The main areas and courtyard were lovely. We had dinner and it was quite good and staff attentive. Our dinner came out at mixed times and we were given another round of drinks and dessert.

What happened? This hotel needs to be torn down and rebuild. Terrible split level design Elevators are always broken. No busmen to help with bags. It’s like sleeping in an office building

They put me in a room way in the back, and I was attending a Conference with 1100 Guests. This was rude treatment for someone attending a conference with a lot of guests. Also, the restaurant put an automatic tip on my bill 0f 18% for one person.
