Unfortunately, the room we got had the view of two air-conditioning units. So that was a definite negative. And the floor was uneven. Perhaps it’s because we were on the first floor and the place is really old…. But the property itself is quite lovely. Just not a place I would spend another night.

Very beautiful grounds. Estate like property. Lots of walking to get to rooms with not elevators.

We were her for a family reunion of 16. All was good except some of our olders had some problems as there are lots of stairs and long hallways.
-
Lovely Resort, beautiful grounds and delicious food at Goosefeather.

The environment was beautiful and welcoming. We were only there for one night and wished our stay had been longer. We'd love to come back!
-
Great property with many little things that seem could be improved quite easily with touch-ups etc. Needs better care.
-
It’s a very old property!! If you enjoy antiquities, this will serve you well.. The food at their restaurant is average, nothing to scream about!! The location is very nice, with the trees and landscapes..

Beautiful setting and very scenic

Staff at check in could have given better directions from parking lot 4 to our room, also better signage.
-
Really beautiful grounds and historic looking get away. Close to town parks and hiking. Nice pool area also

The room was pretty clean but when we checked in there was a big wet spot on the carpet. There were only two towels in the bathroom and we had to track down a housekeeper to get a towel to put over the wet spot. There was a fairly big clump of hair in the bathroom, but otherwise things seemed pretty clean. Our main concern was the “buffet breakfast”. It was not included and cost 29.95 per person so we thought it would be nice. It definitely WAS NOT! There was a very limited selection, less than most free buffets at the cheaper chain hotels. In fact the main offerings were potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and turkey sausage. There was an omelet bar and the usual cheap pastries, make your own pancakes, and a limited selection of fresh fruit. It was massively disappointing. To make matters worse, we were not given a receipt and only found out later that in addition to the unbelievably overpriced breakfast, we were charged a generous tip. The cost of a buffet that most places provide for free was over $75 for two people!

The restaurant was superb. Excellent staff and fantastic food choices bely an outstanding chef. The grounds were lovely. Many places to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Rooms - comfortable and nice; the beauty of the estate, wonderful trees and plantings. On-site restaurant too expensive. Finding one's way into one's room can be confusing, and potentially a lot of up and down various stairs while carrying luggage.

I found a mysterious yellow pill on the floor of our hotel room, where my two babies were staying with me and my husband. The hotel knew that I was traveling with babies, as I called 5x to make sure we were all set with their crib beds and early check in. I am extremely disappointed that our safety was not taken into consideration when cleaning the rooms for children. We could have ended up in the ER, but thank god I found the pill. I had called 3x prior to ask for our cribs to be set up, which we were told would be set up, but they were not set up in the room for our arrival, and our AC was broken. There was also a broken light in the shower. The breakfast was very nice and was the only redeeming quality of our stay.

Dirty, they don't

Property was beautiful everywhere we looked. Pool was clean and staff was attentive. Nice and well behaved crowd, except in the end a few loud kids that were playing rough (I believe it was an exception). Nice views, clean and comfy room, easy check in/out. Minor complaints: giant chess game needs maintenance, one of the umbrellas in the pool was broken and it took a while until someone took it away (it felt and it could hurt someone). Id love more food options in the front desk (ran out of ice cream and other stuff). Gym and sauna also great, we played a lot of pickeball. Fun!!

For the price, our room looked like a Motel 6. I did, however, enjoy sitting outside on the well landscaped lawns. Goose feathers, the onsite restaurant, was great. Too bad the room we stayed in wasn’t

Peaceful and so much greens and nice landscaping, I had very nice sleep here. The restaurant food is good too.

Pool opened late and asked for late checkout using amex platinum denied
