Disappointed that there was not a cafe on the property to have a cup of sit down coffee or tea or a small breakfast or lunch. The Rockland building could use some freshening up with new carpet and some pictures on the wall, etc. In the rooms, need some kid of a hook or towel rack in the toilet/shower room to grab towel after a shower.

The layout is a bit confusing, and you might want to pack light as you will likely end up carrying luggage up or down at least one flight of stairs. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast in the manor house was a treat. Our only complaint was that the EV chargers were both essentially broken and there is only two which would have likely been unavailable considering the number of EVs in the parking lots.

Staff was friendly, but only offered one key…strange given that they were playing card keys. They said they ran out. No elevator to go up so heavy suitcases can be very cumbersome going down flights of stairs. Property is large, but not easily enjoyed. Sort of a clunky lay out. Location is good. Not sure I’d stay here again.

Beautiful grounds. Rooms are dated. Limited amenities … pool with limited drinks and no food. Only restaurant is Michelin rated so excellent n pricey. Only breakfast is buffet … $29. No microwaves in room. Mile plus walk to anything.

The location is beautiful; the grounds are lovely and the breakfast was very nice. The closest parking area was some distance from the building where my room was, and required a walk, plus dragging bags up stairs.

We had 2 beds in our room. One was comfortable. One was springy. The property is older and could’ve been maintained better. Changing of the carpet in general areas would make a huge difference. The fitness center had a lot to offer. However, the floor really needed to be cleaned. Pool areas were nice. The only complaint I have is that the outdoor pool closes at 6 PM which is way too early. The only other complaint I have is that we did not have washcloths. When requested they said they were out. Overall, it was a decent stay for the price.

The hotel was okay. It was beautiful outside but the room itself smelled awful (and the bathroom smelled worse). We kept the window open and the smell wouldn’t go away. Having an outdoor and indoor pool was awesome and the racketball court was a plus.

Clean room and very quiet. Would definitely come back to the estate as well as goosefeather.

The highlight of the whole trip was the Michelin star restaurant on property. We went for dinner and could not stop talking about it. We had to go back for breakfast the next morning to get another taste. The decor of the restaurant is also on par with the food. High design and fine food made for a great experience. We are looking forward to going back and hopefully making it an annual trip.

The hotel is very beautiful, with plenty of space for walking through well-maintained lawns and grounds. The room was very spacious. Although somewhat dated and still featuring carpeted floors, it was comfortable. The staff was also very accommodating, assigning us a room with a king bed even though that option was no longer available when I made the reservation and I had to book a room with two queen beds. There is also a pleasant outdoor gathering area with several sofas, which makes for a great place to relax during the summer. Be prepared to walk quite a bit, as the parking areas are spread throughout the property and are located far from the check-in entrance. Most of the parking closest to the entrance is reserved for valet service, which felt rather unfair. Our biggest disappointment was the pool. Despite the hotel's vast outdoor space, the pool is surprisingly small, squeezed into a fenced area with limited room and very few chairs or loungers available. When we arrived, there was nowhere to sit, and we had to stand in the sun waiting for a lounge chair to become available. There were also no clean towels available. To make matters worse, the pool closed at 6:00 PM, even though there were still about two hours of daylight left during the summer. Far too early for a pool to close. The poolside bar is very small, tucked into a corner, with limited and overpriced food and beverage options. A property of this size deserves a larger pool area with more lounge chairs, more umbrellas, and a more open, spacious design rather than being surrounded by tall fences.

Loved the beautiful grounds and access to tarrytown. Had a wonderful stay! Wish there was an elevator that went from top to bottom.

The grounds at the estate are gorgeous, although we did not do much walking around. We were not there long enough to enjoy the amenities. The lobby is breathtaking. We enjoyed being on the grounds of 2 historical mansions. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. You are unable to drive to your building to unload luggage. Instead, you park at a distance away and have to hoof it from your car to room. Our room was in the Fairfield wing, downstairs. It had a faint musty smell associated with basement rooms, although one got used to it after a while. Also, there were no washcloths in the bathroom. A minor complaint I am sure we could have rectified if we called housekeeping. For us country mice from CT, the restaurant, very upscale and elegant, was way out of our range in terms of affordability.
