Good hotel? Good hotel?

Breakfast we liked - it varied every day, all homemade - different salads, cheeses etc. Excellent coffee from the machine. Not sure why some people didn't like it - I've had not as good a breakfast in 5* hotels. Location is just fantastic - it literally is in the middle of the Old Town, just steps away from a busy street with shops, restaurants etc. Freedom Square is a 2-minute walk. But those few steps make all the difference - you leave all the noise and bustle those very few steps behind. It's quiet. Karaoke bar in the basement (panic mode: to "on"), returning to the hotel in the evening - music from the bar ("boom-boom-boom" - panic level rising...). In the hotel - not a peep is heard. Very quiet and peaceful stay. Nice shower - I've always wondered what those fancy showers with many buttons were like... Now I want one too :o) The staff are very supportive and welcoming - advising, helping with local knowledge etc. Nice and much appreciated :o) Rooms are... say "spartan"? We did not expect plush furnishings and luxury hotel fittings, but a small kettle with mugs and a couple of chairs would not go amiss at all... ;o) There's a small fridge though and it works and it helps :o) There's no lift. It didn't really bother us (one needs to exercise away all those hinkali's calories somehow, right?) but do keep this in mind if you have mobility issues. *** To sum up - we've had a very nice time. There might be some other hotel offering (maybe) better whatevers - don't know, not willing to experiment. We liked our stay. We know what (little) we missed, and we plan to simply bring it with us next time. As the saying goes: if it ain't broke - don't fix it. OK, maybe just a little ;o) as that "little" is all which would make it (almost) perfect for us ;o)

The hospitality and location Floor 4 without elavator and toilet can be better

AC broke in the middle of the night and dripped water all over our things. Staff was prompt to fix it the following day.

It was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Even the walls were dirty, and there was a pile of dirt under the beds. There was also a lot of trash, like water bottles and hair ties. The balcony was dirty too — there was a bird’s nest, and underneath it was a broken egg that no one had cleaned. The curtains were also very, very dirty, and there was no toothpaste or basic facilities at all. Overall, the hotel was so dirty that we decided not to eat there, even though we had paid for breakfast.

Staff

Nothing at all .. maybe the location is bit lucky to be close by down town but everything else is nothing like the pictures they post.. we spent only one night out of 4 nights we booked then we choose to leave that place .. they didn’t refund us any of our money ? as their policy says. Not clean, room smells like strong chlorine , beds and pillows are dirty and not comfy, sheets were messy, room were too small, toilet is less than minimum in clean, facilities and space. Breakfast buffet items were merely on 1 meter square table, Food was not fresh at all and very limited varieties. I would rate it as 2 stars pension not even a hotel.

Then room is awesome with a beautiful view of the church. The bed is soft and the room is well lit. The wifi is good for connection. We even have mini ref in the room. Our room is also very spacious. Their toilet is clean and they give us many towels. I also love their breakfast buffet. The attendants are not good in English BUT they are very hospitable an they do their best. Location is really good. Observation was that the other bed does not have it's own outlet where my friend can charge near him. Also it has a nearby karaoke club and it can be really noisy at night.

Staffs are so friendly and helpful. Location of hotel is excellent, 2 mins to freedom square and 5 mins to old town. Breakfast is not bad. You shouldn’t expect so much. Bathroom in the room is a bit old, but okay for a 2-3 days staying.

Cleanliness, comfort

All is good. Especially the administrator Marika, she is very kind, knowledgeable and very helpful! She made the stay 10x better! She is truly an asset to this hotel. -

Uncomfortable beds, dirty bathroom, smelly towels, cold

The rooms may smell unpleasant due to the old bathrooms. There is also a Thai massage parlor nearby, where locals come in the morning with their cars, playing loud music and disturbing the sleep of others.

Very good location and nice breakfast

Very convenient location, reception and breakfast was very nice Not much about it, there were just few challenges in terms of cleanliness in the room and beds were not that comfortable. But I guess it is fair for its price for a hotel

its near to the tour spots our room, i complain about the ceiling light was blinking , did not fixed, did not also offer any room for us to be more comfortable. I'm with family with kids but he gave me the highest room, without lift.
