They messed up my stuff 2 days before my check out and the room staff stole 4k yen from my pants

Was only here for like 10hrs just to sleep after my flight and before travelling, but it was good value for money and a good location close to the Ueno Station. Women's dorm was quiet and organised. I liked that they were solid wall bunks which allowed for more privacy and less noise.

Smoking area is in the outside, it's so cold.. But yeah i understand

The sleeping capsules are larger than I expected. Bathroom and shower facilities were good. The space was generally clean. Laundry machines and elevator are available. Security is high (code needed to get into the building outside of regular hours, each floor has its own code needed to enter). Relatively quiet with people mostly minding their own business. Had no issues with staff. Just a personal thing, I didn't like having a capsule on the top row and having to climb up and down while jet lagged lol.

Only location was kind of okay. The smell was terrible. Smoke + feet and there was no good ventilation in the dormitory.

The strong smell of smoke makes me feel uncomfortable.

Capsule hotels are not for me. Everything.

The location was relatively close to the train station, however it was located in a bit of a sketchy and difficult to locate off-street. Cleanliness: The sleeping quarters had an overwhelming, inescapable odor — easily one of the worst smells I’ve experienced in any accommodation. The sheets were discolored, rough, and smelled only questionably clean. The bathrooms were filthy. Showers had visible mold in the corners and smelled strongly of mildew. Comfort & Safety: The room was uncomfortable due to the smell, and the general setup felt unsafe. There are no lockers or secure storage available to store luggage, meaning all guests’ belongings are left totally unsecured in common areas. This resulted in clutter everywhere, which felt both insecure and potentially unsafe. The area itself is in a dark, sketchy corner near the train station, and I did not feel comfortable coming or going at night. Staff & Service: Staff were rarely available and consistently unfriendly. Messages sent online were ignored, and when I tried to address issues in person, I was met with rudeness and no willingness to help. I was refused a fresh towel unless I paid extra. Value for money: This is extremely poor value. There are many other properties in the immediate area at a similar price point. I ended up staying at another accommodation nearby that was cheaper and exponentially better in every way. Final note: Given the level of cleanliness issues, the property should be reviewed more closely. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

There is a microwave on the 1st floor and a laundry - dry machine that is very cheap and clean . The location was really good , close to the UENO station and many markets . It was our mistake that we didn't request to change beds , we were sleeping close to the entry beds of the bathroom, room and luggages. Make sure that you don't make the same mistake because there is a lot of noise from other people that they are entering - exit the rooms

Good amenities, well furnished. Nice to have a gass stove and fridge. There were no staff available on site to talk to. Made it difficult to solve issues.

Clean, cozy, convenient, and an all around great time. Pillows were not great at all.

The beds are comfortable. The staff can store your luggage for free after/before you check out. It was clean, free hairdryers in the bathroom. The male and female spaces are separated so it felt very safe for me as a solo female traveller. Localisation is great. Close to Ueno Station. Staff is really friendly and they speak perfect english! Good for a short stay. I stayed there only for one night and am satisfied, will come back. Theres no dedicated space for luggage so everyones luggage just lays around on a big pile. I imagine this might get annoying if u have a lot of luggage/ are staying for longer. The bathroom gets crowded in the mornings, not enough sink space for everyone to get ready comfortably. (4 sinks for around 10 women?)

The check in & check out process was incredibly smooth & I liked how overall friendly & accommodating the staff was. Every morning they greeted me had seen me off as I left, & I was welcomed back when I returned, it really felt quite comfortable & familiar. I valued that quite a lot while traveling. I liked how accessible the hotel was to the train station while being far enough away from the main streets that it was a quiet place to be at night. It is also super close to both a 7-11 and family mart, which made it convenient to get anything I needed. I think my only complaint was that it would get quite hot & humid as the night progressed, but otherwise I didn’t mind so much. Thankfully it was cool outside, but I wonder if the experience wouldn’t be quite as nice in the summertime.
