the room was fine for a single traveller. small but comfortable, good location and helpful staff.

Staffs are very bad and not clean a room.
-
Absolutely fantastic location, friendly staff, and super comfy rooms!

The hotel staff left a miniature rubber duck in the bathroom to keep me company. Hotel staff wasn’t unfriendly, but not terribly friendly either. Room size was much smaller than I imagined. The website photos are misleading, even by Japanese standards this room was quite small. The walls in my room were not just dirty, but badly stained in obvious areas. Road noise, especially late at night, was unreal, mainly from motorcycles and emergency response vehicles. Was not as close to train station as website might lead one to believe. Not one vending machine on property. 3 convenience stores close by, but not even so much as a drink machine on property. In-room mini fridge was nothing more than a glorified cooler. Temperature could not be adjusted. Just a simple on/off switch. The “closet” was nothing more than a slit in the wall at the room entrance. A pair of pants and a dress shirt took up the entire space. Hotel staff will not assist with taxi services. They tell you to wave one down from the corner.

I reserved for a non smoking room, they would not transfer me to what I reserved for. When I went back for the next stay I was given a non smoking room but it smelled so nasty, I thought I was booked in an indian restaurant. Just nasty, never coming back here. Btw, late check oyt is Y1000/hr. Be weary bout this place. Bait and switch kinda deal.

I like the location—it’s close to Ueno Station, which is very convenient for getting into the city and accessing the Shinkansen for travel outside the city. It’s also near shopping malls, dining areas, and convenience stores. What I didn’t like is that the room is quite small. It may not be very convenient for travelers with large luggage, though this is understandable since the hotel is located in the city center.

The hotel was a good deal for the price and was in a convenient location. We had a private bathroom with a small bathtub, which was a great perk. Coin laundry in the building was also appreciated. The room was a bit small, though that's to be expected in Tokyo.
