The owners were very friendly, I actually didn't know they were the owners until I saw them cleaning and asked. It's a good base for getting around Tokyo whether you're going far or staying close, a lot of local, affordable food options and beautiful night views if you're into photography. I met a few people I linked with and had the chance to go out and explore, it was awesome! There wasn't much that I didn't like, this is a sorta capsule hotel(had a pull curtain for privacy), I didn't choose my bed, just kinda got assigned to it, but I was on top and had to sort of swing out each morning. I had no issue but just adding here just in case someone else might.

Cheap and close to Skytree. Good location. Rented this place for my cousin for a night - the hotel we booked was not an option to book for my cousin, so we booked this hostel for her. Decent for what it was needed for. According to my cousin, there was no one at the front desk when she checked-in around 7 p.m. Luckily, she speaks a decent amount of Japanese but she does not read it as well - she got by with some of the instructions but was not sure where she was supposed to put her bag and was confused about a few basics. She "figured it out" but better instructions would have been great.

It is what you expect, a bunk bed, good location in Asakusa, not the best, but good location, it was a 10 mins distance to the subway, but it was near the bus stop. Nice shower with Shampoo and conditioner provided, and good shared spaces. Convince stores nearby. Easy check in process. It is a place for you just to sleep and shower, so not much room for your bags, but you deal with it in the hallway, no issues with stuff being stolen or anything, but be smart and take important items with you. For first timers, the bnb is the 4th floor, stairs not in the best conditions, but use the elevator. The toilets could use those cleaning gel dispensers so users could clean the toilet seat, as those tended to be dirty with urine sometimes. Or even more frequent cleaning. And just a comment, I understand it wasn't possible because of the time, but I was travelling with a partner, It would have been nice for us to have been closer together in the bunk beds.

It was a decent enough place to stay a few nights but... ...there is no vibe, no staff to help you, and no fellow travellers to meet given the way the place is configured (sectioned off and capsule style beds). Also, it doesn't have much space to place your belongings so mine was in the lobby the whole time. I also question the security of the place because they put the passcode for the door on a little sticky ON THE DOOR itself for people who check in late....so ANYBODY can see it ? yes, Japan is mostly very safe but then whats the point of a passcode secured door then?

It was a little confusing to get in and the process because there was no staff on hand

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Great location, comfortable bed. No common space to eat/take rest. Only space is next to bed zone, so if you want to eat early breakfast you will wake up other guests. Same if you like to sleep and someone needs to pack staff or simple talk mobile. Only two bathrooms. No staff.

Nice price, comfortable. People were friendly. The Japanese style room was quite large and nice. One wall of the Japanese room had open section which connected to the common food area. This meant I could hear the microwave and walking. Not too much privacy in the “private room”

The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean and it was nice and quiet! There was no staff there for the entirety of my stay, so it was self check in, but instead of texting us the door code, they taped a note with our names on to the front door. This made me feel unsafe leaving my bags and valuables here, as literally anyone would have been able to walk in and access the rooms. I also lost the piece of paper at one point and couldnt remeber the code, so was locked out for hours because there was no staff to let me in and they took a while to reply to my message. If they messaged the codes or included them in an email I think it would be a lot easier/ safer!

i loved the bathroom and public usage that came with the amenities, it was enough and well prepared for almost everything that you would need to start or end your day. unfortunately, it gets really cramped inside, but you pay what you get. the area itself makes up for it, 5 mins walk to kurumae train station which was really ideal after a long day of travelling. if i'm not mistaken, a few stops down town, you could find a bustling town to eat in. just my two cents, i think people here tend to be pretty rigid and uptight. quite inflexible for the bnb to reject our late check in around 11pm+ when the check in could've done by sharing us the code to the door and informing which bed would be ours. instead, me and my partner spent a night homeless and stranded in family mart just to wake up first thing in the morning to check in. and worst was, the check in needed non of any documentations. we were brought to our beds in less than 2 mins. if you happen to have a late flight, this bnb doesn't do late check in.

A short walk to asakusa. Otherwise nothing else was good. Dirty. Essentially one large room and so can hear everyone all the time. No where safe to store large bags. Poor foam mattresses that have no cushioning left so it feels hard. Quite hard to find...on 4th floor of an office building.
