Staff were friendly and courteous. Pretty clean and my son and husband liked the public spa/bath. For $262 a night, the rooms are TINY!!!!

Room could be bigger, you can not choose the breakfast on the same day and no orange juice if you choose japanese style, should offer orange juice to both style of breakfast

Great location once we figured out the trains.

  • Engine customer May 2026

    Clean. Centrally located

  • Engine customer May 2026

Proximity to the train station (one subway stop) and to akihabara (15 minutes walk), nice staff, onsen Room was very small, practically no space between the beds. Couldn’t figure out how to turn down heat and had a hard time sleeping. Japanese style breakfast did not seem appealing to daughters.

I'm a single, 70 yr old female who took the train for several trips. The staff provided great direction in regards to best routes to take, maps with highlighted directions on how to get to train stations. Staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. Rooms were clean and the hallways were quiet.Great place to stay. If I'm lucky enough to come back to Japan, I would stay here. NA

We didn’t care for the menu at restaurant and the western breakfast was not great. The scrambled eggs seemed undercooked and slimy to us westerners.

Nice but not great. Breakfast okay but just barely. I don’t know who to blame, the hotel or Expat Explorer, but as suggested by Expat Explorer I purchased a room for my wife and I to stay a day before and after our trip. The hotel wanted us to change rooms - leave our room at 10:00 am and change rooms to another room at 3:00 or 4:00 to start the tour. They told me the room I booked and paid for by Booking.com was 9000 yen more expensive and we would not get a refund if we stayed in the same room. Then they told me the room I booked didn’t have breakfast included and even though we stayed in a 9000yen cheaper room if we want real fast it would cost an additional 1500 yen!!! The hotel and Expat Explorer should get this straight with Booking.com since friends who did not use Booking.com paid less and got the breakfast without any issue - stayed in the same room throughout their visit before and after our tour. Next time I won’t use Booking.com even if recommended due to it costing me so much more and more of a hassle when we got to the hotel

Great location and very convenient. The hotel met the cleanliness standards you expect in Japan, everything was well maintained and organized. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were polite and attentive, and check-in was smooth and welcoming. The main issue was with the child policy, which was unclear and inconsistent with what was shown on Booking at the time of reservation. The site did not clearly state that children 7 years and older require their own bed and cannot share. They even loaded their hotel website on my phone and showed this policy to me, and then we compared it to the one in Booking and yes they were the opposite. We originally booked a room that was large enough for our family, but due to this policy, our 10-year-old was considered an adult. This left us without a sleeping option for him unless we booked an additional room. The only solution offered was to reserve another room, which cost us about $250 USD for two nights. This also meant splitting the family across different floors, which was not ideal. I asked if we could simply pay an extra person fee for our child, but this was not accepted. I understand policies may be strict, but some flexibility would have made a big difference, especially for a short stay. I rarely post a negative review but this time I believe it was warranted.

Ranch and dinner not up to par

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

Affordable price Early check in n late check out the charge extra with 1000 yen per hour, we stay there on 2/12 n 8 to 11/12 They charge extra if we deposit our luggage on 2/12 n pick up on 8/12 with 5000 yen per luggage per day, the reception service staff are inflexible they give us a smaller room to a couple n a bigger single room for my son, we swapped room service staff service staff don’t allow us to exchange room key that cause much inconvenience to us

    Nothing.

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

    Very small room

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

The area was very quiet. A bit far from the station though, but wasn’t too bad The entrance is a little hard to find, and the cleaning days were a little confusing

Nice and clean, small rooms adhere to the Japanese tradition. Has restaurant in building so had nice Japanese dinner. Staff very helpful. Has a large public bath (hot tub) which was great for relaxing muscles after a long day of site seeing. In city with lots of things to see locally. Cannot think of anything now.

The hotel's policy was extremely strict and it spoiled the experience. We made a mistake and didn't notice that the check-out was late (in all the other places we stayed in Japan - 6 hotels, the check-out time was 11). We asked to use the hotel facilities for a fee and it was not possible (a man who is also accepted in hotels for no fee). They allowed us to extend our stay in the room for a fee. We could choose between two hours for an hourly fee or a stay longer than two hours and a full day fee. Our flight was late and we wanted to be in the room. We chose the two-hour fee. Even though we were given the option (if we paid) to stay longer. After an hour and 55 minutes, the staff started to urge us to leave because there were guests in the room. It is not clear whether this was a deterrent, but we were offered to pay for the night and change as many times as we wanted. Why were they urging us to leave even though it was not past check-out time. It is very unacceptable not to allow guests to use the hotel facilities after check-out, even for a fee.
