Lovely mattress! Firm yet soft on the surface, slept very well. Despite being next to the busy train line, the room is reasonably quiet with a multi-pane window. Due to older construction, the floor area is slightly bigger than the compatible APA, LiveMax, or other so-called "business-hotel." Provided with two card keys, which is increasingly rare nowadays. Location was excellent, a mere 1-2 minutes' walk from JR Kanda Station, south exit. Numerous eateries and shops are nearby, all within 10 minutes' walk. Courteous staff, the self-check-in machine was easy to operate, quick, and efficient. The older air conditioning unit constantly blows strong air directly into your face while you sleep, even on the lowest fan setting. Air conditioning outlet louver is worn out unable to control air direction plus air filter was quite dirty. The unit bath is clean and efficient, but it's an older design.

The room smelled so bad.

It was a little confusing to find the entrance as Google maps sends you to a sign that says "This is not the entrance". It wasn't hard to find except when you're groggy from jet lag.

Nice location, near JR kanda station with elevator near the gate. Sakura road is just in the next street!Nice view with the train passing by. Staff are good at english and friendly. Can leave luggage before and after check out too. It’s an old hotel so I smell dust and some facility are old. The room is small for 2 people with one 28” luggage. Cannot put more than one luggage.

The restroom smelled a bit even if the toilet was used or hasn't been used in a while.

The location was great, the staff kind and responsive, and the room exactly as described in the announcement. I really enjoyed my stay at the property and would definitely come back.

Location and that they can provide fresh clean towels and sheets everyday. Based on my experience with other 3-star hotels in Japan, the “eco” service are sometimes applied, meaning they promote cleaning the room every other day, or every other 2 days. But in Kanda Station hotel, you can request for them to tidy up the room everyday. The bathroom and cleanliness. Although I have mentioned that you can request to “tidy up” the room everyday, I am a little skeptical about the “cleanliness”. Aside from the bathroom being musty and moldy. When I first took a bath, the couldn’t stand the smell of the shower curtain, that I have washed it with hot water first while I’m soaking there. In the addition, the sink has damages that although fixed it was not aesthetically pleasing. Combined with the toilet bowl having yellow water stains on where the toilet bowl flows, would really made you feel anxious and unease. When you are lodging in a hotel, you wanted to feel relax and comfortable and with that bathroom condition, it gives a little sense of troublesome and stress to us.I tried to request for transfer, BUT I was informed that my concerns about the bathroom can’t be helped because IT IS SAME TO OTHER ROOMS. I have raised that why the photos in booking.com and google maps are okay, but the receptionist just bowed and apologized.

Low cost, location We had a moldy shower curtain. The entire bathroom would fill with water when we took a shower. The bathroom also smelled like mold.

The staff was always polite. I really like how close it is to train station and having Doctor Coffee just around the corner. The hotel is a little dated but comfortable.
-
Loved that it was so close to the station, there are restaurants all around to choose from. Staff was nice and helpful. Would stay again

Slight smoke smell and small bathroom. AC not very strong
-
Comfiest beds and best pillows ever. Very conveniently located. Luggage storage wasn't 24/7 so definitely check with them first

-
The wall was thin therefore I heard people taking and from the next to room in midnight.

The location was perfect for what I needed. The workers are also very patient and will try their best. The struggle between translations. Sometimes google translate fails me and we are stuck figuring each other out.
