Hotel Asakusa KANNONURA

Elevator door is open to everyone. No key cards needed. And we were unable to do a late check out but Thats the least of our worries.

The room wasn’t as clean as there was a clothing size sticker stuck to the wall near the balcony sliding door. Likely left from the guests before us which made us question the clean the room actually was.

The place is very far from everything and everyone It has no staff, self check in. When we got there the room was locked from the inside we had to wait until staff came and opened the door they told us to go and come back while there was typhoon storm outside, no service very old dirty kitchen and there were random hairs everywhere in the room

It was clean, in a good location, and was quiet.

N/A The room had a weird smell, very moist, doesn’t air well. Very tiny shower room. Horrible check-in process.

The hotel is in a great location. Amenities were great with everything you need. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The unit has a weird remote check in system where you Skype someone from the entryway, and there aren’t actual staff on property most of the time. It feels more like an Air BnB than a hotel, but without the real benefits of either (the staff of a hotel or the freedom of an Air BnB). Also, the interior is a modern look with all unfinished concrete. It doesn’t look bad, but the sounds in the hallway carry and reverberate very loudly. It’s easy to be woken up by others leaving their rooms.

No daily room cleaning

A short walk to Senso-Ji, lots of restaurants around and very easy to navigate the streets to find it. The hotel was very clean and its very easy to get checked in and into your room. Try the local outside bars.

The location was amazing. Having a kitchen was nice even though we didn’t need one. Access instructions were well explained. The room was a good size, but the raised metal trim between the entry and the room floors was very painful to step on by accident even with slippers on. Corners of the platform bed were difficult to avoid in the dark as well.

Dryer doesn't really work but that's normal in Japan haha.

No pajamas or yukata

Location. Quiet area near senjo temple Room is cleaned under request, after 3 nights. Same for towels. I asked for Iron, they replied there is not available. Room are Electronic, you need a code number. One day, I was not able to open the Door from inside. Emergency number didnt work. There is not phone inside the room. I sent them a message and they never teplied. I has a bus to mt Fuji that I lost.

The bathroom is kind of open and there is nowhere to hang towels. If you step our of the shower you are right in the view of everyone. No closet to put clothes in. Very small room

Nothing

Check in was a pain. No staff and the iPad uses Skype which was offline at the time of my arrival. It wasn't easy at all. . The bed was very uncomfortable.

There were 2 full-size mattresses put right next to each other on a wooden platform. There's not much room to walk around or open your suitcases. Might be difficult if you have multiple large suitcases. The room has a small balcony, which was nice but too hot to go outside in the summer. The bathroom and shower are separated. Overall, it is very clean. There is a kitchen on the first floor that offers free bottles of water. You can opt to cook in there, but we have been eating out. 7-11 is right on the corner. I tried to have my luggage shipped to the hotel but was told that I was not able to because they don't do face to face check in and no one there to accept my luggage. We had to ship it to the nearest post, and my friend picked it up with his car. The alley to the post was very small. Eventually, Andy, the staff who was very friendly and helpful, told us that my luggage could have shipped directly to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The property was fantastic and the location was amazing The beds were kinda hard. That’s my only criticism.

The location is so good, it's super close to the market and the temple also the station. The amenities are great, you can cook in the shared kitchen i even use the laundry so it's super useful!
