Ocean House Costa del Sol by Grupotel

The room was very spacious but very basic. I think for that price it was good value. Breakfast was ok. They had entertainment every night which was nice, especially if you got kids and you want to stay up for a drink it was a good place to chill. The staff was very friendly. It was pretty much impossible to get chairs at the pool as people went out super early to "claim" them. We opted to stay at the beach, but you had to pay extra for the sunbeds there. The pool area wasn't amazing anyway. There wasn't a lot of storage room for your clothes in the room.

We loved everything!! Good facilities, breakfast and pools.

For we elderly people, it certainly helped to have the outdoor elevator repaired from the pool deck up to the hotel. Breakfast offered a good variety. We were not happy with our room, when we asked to change we were told that the hotel was full and that because we had booked on Booking .com we were offered the cheapest room in the hotel. On this site, there were no other rooms offered. Then there was the usual problem with people putting towels on the chairs by the pool to reserve them . The staff have a difficult time controlling this .

Hotel has an amazing premium option with free mini bar, sun-beds on the beach and zone with free refreshment drinks. Kid’s and adult’s activities are not overwhelming and well moderated. Pools are good for all age groups. Buffet was full of options, we enjoyed sea food and fish table every day. Room was clean and fresh towels provided every day. Special thanks goes to Daniel and all hotel staff. Sun-beds on the beach could be included in the price for all guests - 8 e per day is quite pricey imo.

All round cracker location

The location is perfect. Close to marina and to the beach. Beautiful sea side view. It was not clean enough. The glass railings, which were always dirty, prevented us from fully enjoying the beautiful sea view. When using the shower, water constantly leaked onto the floor, which caused some inconvenience.

No body cream in bathroom, expected in a genuine 4 star hotel. Subbed were left empty for hours with towels on. Pool was too cold despite being advertised as heated. We booked purely for the advertised adult area only to discover you have to pay extra!!

Breakfast is great, variety of options. Room size is perfect. Hotel location is perfect you can reach many destinations with less than 40 minutes by car. Downton is only few minutes walking. The restaurant just over the back is amazing, they make great seafood with beautiful seaview. Sound isolations is not very good, you can still hear noises and sounds from the surroundings.

Location was perfect. Travelled with our 10 month old and even though there are steps, there are also lifts which was great with buggy. Staff, particularly cleaning and entertainment staff were amazing. Silvanna and rest of the entertainment team were so friendly and fun! Always smiling and saying hi to us and the baby. The breakfast, even though many options, wasn’t my cup of tea personally. Also they give 10% off at the beach restaurant opposite hotel “Oh Beach” but didn’t enjoy the food at all and was expensive even with discount - much nicer places along the beachfront

Cleanliness and facilities were excellent. Great pools and pool side bar. Great daily breakfast. Good value. Loud music at pool bar daily could have been quited down a bit.

Very comfy beds in the room, great location, great choice at breakfast with fresh fruit and fresh fruit juice. Lovely shower. You couldn't get a sunbed round the pool, you were packed in like sardines, so we ended up having to pay €8 per day for a lounger on the beach. When we arrived at 3am our reservation had not been passed on by booking.com so we had to wait in reception for over an hour while they sorted it, we effectively missed a nights accommodation. We chose the non refundable option. Out friends also had paid for their room upfront in full, but because their credit card had expired they wouldn't give out friends their room until they paid for it again. The way our friends were spoken to was appalling. They were told to leave the hotel. Overpriced and crowded.

Ocean front

The location is perfect with a promenade just outside which allows you to be able to walk to other surroundings. The pool area is lively and has a good restaurant. Many options for breakfast.

Parking is only available on the street.
