Loved the location and the room although it was quite small for all 6 of us it was great! Loved the bar downstairs. I was very disappointed with the lift being out of order. Also, could have included breakfast for a bit more money, it was hard to find something to eat.

Location is great, staff is kind and patient. Elevator not working, not staff fault. Drying machine not working, not atrás fault. Room was on 6th floor, not air conditioner was off. Ladies from Italy who were sharing the room went down (Aug 10) to complain/request someone to check, they said, no elevator, we can’t go up, there’s nothing we can do. Room was 40C, it was unbearable, no one basically slept. Next morning, I told staff and asked why they couldn’t etc, no one knew a thing. I believe in such cases the Management should be able to do something or at least offer a refund to everyone staying in that room that night. That would be good policy, I wouldn’t go back because they didn’t seem client caring.

What I liked most about the hostel is its excellent central location. It’s very close to the train station, which makes it really convenient for travelling, and the main parts of the city are all within walking distance. This made it easy to explore the city without needing to rely on public transport or taxis. Unfortunately, cleanliness was the biggest disappointment during my stay. Even taking into consideration that it was high season, I found the standard of cleaning far below what I would expect from a hotel/hostel. The bathroom outside room 202 had a very strong smell of urine, which was particularly unpleasant as you could smell it every time you walked up the stairs. The dorms also appeared to be poorly cleaned. It felt as though the bed sheets were simply changed between guests without properly checking or cleaning the beds and surrounding areas. Another disappointment was the lack of a proper communal area or kitchen available for guests to use. There is a bar and a small outdoor space, but this quickly becomes mainly a smoking area, which makes it less pleasant for non-smokers. There is also a rooftop restaurant, but I personally found it quite overpriced. In my opinion, the rooftop space could have been much better utilised as a bar and communal area where guests could relax, socialise and enjoy the view. The location is definitely one of the hostels strongest points, but unfortunately, the cleanliness and lack of useful communal facilities really affected my overall experience.
