Elena Garden Resort and Restaurant

hotel is very nearby the beach. Elena was very helpfull about everything. Eventhough it is small enterprice hotel she made small gestures to make customers happy, to illustrate there was bananas, water, tooth brush and paste kit even lots of 5star hotels dont do :) Hotel is super cosy. Destination, Trincomalee, is cosy and vibe is super matching.

Great place to stay in Uppaveli. Close to the beach, close to the Main Street and some good local restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Elena and her staff are friendly and welcoming.

Elena has put much attention to detail. There are plenty of little added touches that make the room feel special. And you feel that you are staying in a little oasis. This place is very charming and a very short walk to the beach. I loved it here.

Clean and spacious room, warm shower, super close to the beach. Lovely breakfast available. Nice little terrace in front of the room. We enjoyed the whole garden vibes and the sweetest dogs :)

It was exactly what I expected and exactly what I wanted, something unique and different. A tropical beach garden vibe. There are only 5 units and so it was quiet. An older property that has been carefully renovated. The common area has a "beachcomber" feel, funky in a good way, with lots of plants and palms everywhere. Each unit has a covered terrace with chairs and a low table and is surrounded in greenery. I really liked the fact that the rooms are quirky and fun and refreshingly different from most accommodation. Only 1 small window in each unit but Elena has cleverly got around this by painting the walls bright white with colourful murals and linens and excellent lighting which made the whole room light and bright and full of colour. New floor tiles. The room had this unique fresh feel. There was ample furniture in the room to put things on. Fresh linens and plenty of towels. Strong fan and good A/C. The big bathroom had been modernised, and had both a cool shower and a hot shower with instant hot water and good water pressure. There was a small unit of shelves to put bathroom things on. Very clean. There is a small above ground plunge pool but it wasn't operating when I was there. But that doesn't matter at all as the ocean is only a stone's throw away. Plenty of parking for my motorbike. The property is safe & secure. Excellent location as it's a very short stroll to Upuvelli beach which is a wide beach with clean sand and a few cafes and restaurants. The beach slopes gently into the water, stays shallow for a little distance, and only had low waves which makes it ideal for families to swim in. Elena is very helpful and arranged snorkeling and an exceptional Ayurvedic massage, both at a discount. The property is quiet. I found the other guests friendly and Elena has created a happy, social place. No parties, no karaoke and so you can really relax here. It is an excellent price considering its proximity to the beach. It's a great place.

Anyone looking for a little paradise to switch off is in the right place here, the hostess and her partner will make your visit unforgettable. They also have a real talent for organising any activities in the area. We booked a snorkelling and dolphin watching trip which even included whales. The staff were lovely. The breakfast and dinners were wonderful. The lady was a wonderful cook.

Elena and her staff are the loveliest people. They do all they can to help. And the cats and dogs are wonderful! I was there for six days and felt like I was leaving home when I eventually left! 10/10!. Okay, a small thing - the wash basin wasn't great. The plug has seen better days! But it doesn't detract from the overall positive experience - not even a little!

Elena’s place is very comfortable, super clean, artistic with lots of beautiful plants. If anything is bothering you Elena is doing het very best to find a solution. She invested lots of love in this place. I certainly recommend

Very comfortable rooms . Great location in a quiet spot only minutes from the beach and also not far from the main road ( with a decent well stocked little supermarket across the road. It is such a pleasure to just sit outside your door or swing in a hammock and enjoy the tropical garden with its many resident butterflies and birds. Elena is a lovely lady . She is very friendly and helpful. Apart from providing a great place to stay she ( assisted by her staff ) will always do her best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. . There's a very tasty breakfast available too. Everything was excellent

I stayed for two nights and had a great time. Elena will take care of your well-being. I felt very good. The beach is a park of steps.
