Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Des Moines - Northwest by IHG

The rooms are small. The bathroom is extremely small. There was a dirty sock under the AC therefore the room wasn’t cleaned properly. We left the tv on for our dog in the crate so she wouldn’t hear/bark at hallway noise. When we returned to room, the tv was off and the thermostat was turned to 76. Very weird.

Room was nice. Pool was closed due to repairs.

Quiet and clean! Restaurant attached was great 👍

Overall enjoyable experience.

Both evenings a coffee pot in the lobby was empty and in the morning on Friday the 12th it wasn't even there and that was over several hours so no coffee

It was your basic hotel room. We had trouble with the shower/bathroom. The tub was rusted through on the bottom, and the water pressure was laughable. Also, it was either the temperature of the sun, or freezing cold with no in between. The staff was great and had answers to everything we asked. The elevators and hallways often smelled of weed, and seemed to leak through the vent in the bathroom. Other than that the bed was fine, and the TV was nice. The restaurant attached to the hotel had good food and even better service, although breakfast not being included with your stay was a bit annoying. Overall, not the worst place I’ve stayed, not the best.

Staff was excellent.

Everything was great except the housekeeper knocked on the door at 9:00 and said check out. I said isn’t it at 11. THEN an hour later she knows once and then just comes in.

Great place. The shower pressure was almost nonexistent. Otherwise we would stay here again

Tv did not work, air conditioner did not work, had to hold cords into outlet to work. Staff did not care at all

The room was dusty and dated. For a "suite" it was definitely not nice. The furniture was all broken and dusty. We got charged way more than what their rates are posted as too.
