A great place to stay in between Tokyo and Nikko if you plan to visit there. It is definitely a 4-star old school hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable in general. There is a good selection of restaurants inside the hotel itself. It is fairly inconvenient to reach the hotel in public transport. The city buses have spare scheduled, but the stops are at walkable distance. The prices for the mandatory drinks to stay in the lobby seem a bit excessive.

Room was spacious and clean, although a little dated, must have been a very luxurious hotel in its day. If anyone has travelled in Japan you immediately know who the PAYING customer is because you are greeted with a smile ☺ and kind words. Well here was different was greeted at reception as though I had dog poo ? on my shoes maybe the poor receptionist was having a bad day or she didn't like foreigners surprising to me because I have been to Japan many times over 35 years ( married to a Japanese lady) and never experienced anything like this. Must admit at checkout experienced an entirely different process was treated like I like to treat others so maybe checkin chick was having a bad day BUT don't take out on others.

Decent atmosphere and a large room are favorable. Western and Japanese style breakfast can be chosen. I chose Japanese one and it was great. Air conditioner is easy to set to appropriate temperature. Free parking lots are available which are large enough. Two AC chargers for EV are available. Seems very old facility especially the elevators are slow. The location is separated from center of Utsunomiya city.

It had a very luxurious vibe and we felt very well “taken care off”, we were so surprised that it wasn’t more expensive! Maybe the location could have been a little bit better, but it was alright

we stayed 3 diffarent hotels in Utsunomiya and we found it was a best stay that i would not mind to take a taxi and pay for 10min from the station. they have a 5 star hotel atmosphere as they are one of the popular place for wedding in town and welcomed by well trained staffs. the hotel offers good meals including Teppanyaki, french, italian, chinese and traditional 2 japanese restaurants over looking a skylights or japanese gardens. Good price for what we got to experience. Matress was poor.Old coiled matress. they need to replace asa they can. I woudnt mind to pay a bit more for them to help replace. we had to pick up all the amenity from the front desk was unusual.
