Location was great! Clean room and comfortable bed. The best is the staff, very kind people.
-
Incredible location and a beautiful building! The bed was super comfortable, the staff was so friendly, and there were many thoughtful details to create a great environment. The bathroom is a tight squeeze and didn’t have a full shower door so it was easy for water to go everywhere.

The location is great and the building Is charming. But Miguel at the reception desk made the weekend wonderful! He went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable at the hotel and able to find our way in Valencia.

Location is good, although beware if traveling by car, the cost of parking nearby is quite high. Unprofessional, very bad management and incompetent staff led to a very bad experience. Prices is high but service is awful, so my suggestion is to avoid here and book somewhere competent at the same price. Basically, after confirming our booking the staff was very weak and easily gave our booked room with balcony to someone else that arrived shortly before us, despite our having reserved and paid for it. At arrival, they pretended like nothing was wrong and stuck us in the budget room that has no windows, and has holes in the wall to the room nearby (see photos), and they hoped we wouldn't say anything. When we complained, they offered no viable solution and NO REFUND WAS GIVEN FOR THEIR MISTAKE, which amazes me. The desk staff wouldn't own up to the mistake and tried to hide what happened, gaslighting us with conflicting statements through a fake smile. Despite the evidence on their own print-out, they delayed dealing with it they never offered any reasonable resolution. Throughout this, management was absent and unwilling to assist, so finally I resorted to getting booking.com involved. Despite this, Catalina Suites dragged this on for several weeks after our stay and never accepted to refund. In the end booking gave us a "travel credit" because Catalina Suites would not cooperate kept declining to refund for their mistake. Honestly, this ruined our stay so if you've read this far take my suggestion to AVOID this place - I don't think ours was an isolated instace. The budget room is very bad. There are large open holes near the roof that go directly into the room next door, so when someone talks or coughs it sounds like they are in the same room as you. I checked the Google reviews and noticed there are many similar complaints for this place, so please check there too for the unfiltered accounts of many people since it seems the booking.com reviews have somehow been baked by a recent reset.

Instructions to get to the hotel.

Bathroom sink area was a little small but no big deal. Was a great place
-
The age and history The staff especially at the front desk Great location close to the market and dozens of restaurants. Elevator and the parking availability. Very difficult to find in a busy city.
-
What really makes this hotel shine is the staff! The ladies at the front desk are absolute stars—super friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Big shout-out to Meri, who’s just the sweetest and made us feel right at home. And the location? You honestly can’t beat it. Perfect base to explore the city—and then come back to chill. Loved it!

The room space, I could hardly walk in the room, too uncomfortable around the bed area and to have the bathroom downstairs

Our initial room was fine but dark. We inquired about changing rooms and without a question they upgraded us from a standard room to one of their one bedroom apartments. We were so impressed with their customer service. nothing

Very good

Fantastic location The staff are just fabulous , nothing is too much trouble and they go over and above to be helpful and the service was great. Even though it is a busy location our room was quiet with the windows and shutters closed. The bed was super comfy and the rooms clean and functional. Breakfast was lovely and the food replenished frequently a lovely way to start the day. Some noise from other rooms but it’s an old hotel so hard to make totally noise free rooms .
-
Perfect location in the heart of the historic centre Very small breakfast area with limited breakfast options
-
Super friendly staff, very comfy bed in a great location. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast, just a bit too basic to be good value given the amount we paid for the stay.
-
We really appreciated the detailed restoration work especially the wooden ceiling beams and the big door at the entrance to the property. The property had a lot of charm. Our room had a balcony which was very pleasant. N/A Catalina suites is as advertised.
-
Staff were great, location was 10/10 Room had no windows. Very very damp smell coming from bathroom that got worse as our stay went on. Shower didn’t drain quickly enough and bathroom flooded. Random noises as if taps above our heads were being used throughout the night as we slept, very loud noise, would last for a few seconds at a time. Breakfast was poor

Staff amazing and best locality.

Perfect location in city center and clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet. The bathroom had to be accessed through internal stairs (room 511). No natural light (other than a window in a cupboard). The aircon unit was also in this open cupboard / alcove and therefore less effective in terms of cooling the room, particularly because of the heat rising from the bathroom (which understandably needs to be warmer than the bedroom.) Access by car is difficult. Google Maps direction both to property and parking garage nearby were a bit off (obviously no fault of the hotel.)

Also they do a continental breakfast... nice nice touch... Imo, Great spot for overnight stay or weekend if on solo trip or you are a cosy couple? I live in NY so street sounds don't brother me.. it may be a bit much for some. Oh, be aware The room key has a tassle??? not the best if you are not walking with a bag of some sort...

The room had no window. very small and stuffy .
