Will seriously consider on future trips rather than San Marco side of canal. Great quite location. Convenient location for public water bus and San Basilio. Air conditioning was welcome! Garden restaurant was great. The Booking.com 8 rating is not appropriate. Can't figure out why not in the 9s

Great location on a quiet canal street, I walked to everything. Big room, comfortable bed and bathroom. Moderately pleasant staff. There's a garden restaurant on the ground floor – very quaint. Underwhelming breakfast (not always included), which I skipped. Seems like only one wifi router for the floor – at room 1 there was virtually no signal.

Could not have asked for a better location. It is on a quiet canal in Dorsoduro, but it's still close to active street life, restaurants, coffee bars, vaparetto stops, and the more touristy areas of Venice if that's where you want to go. I had hoped to have dinner at the restaurant that is part of the hotel, but that will have to wait for my next trip. It was nice to know that the restaurant was right there. As a senior woman traveling alone, I never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood at night, I'm happy to say. One word of advice: take a paper map--mine was invaluable till I lost it on my final night! Would definitely stay at Antica Locanda Montin again.

For the price of a one night stay, it did not meet our expectations at all. The staff was soooo rude. We told them we had a late check in- they left the keys and everything which was good but they didn't provide any information about the facility. We didn't have our own bathroom. You share a bathroom with the 5 other rooms- it is laid out like a house. Going back to no information being provided about the facility- no one told us not to use the bottom lock on the bathroom. It got stuck and I was LOCKED in the bathroom. That was frustrating but I didn't panic because its a fun story- but the way the man reacted to me using the bottom lock. He yelled at me, called us stupid Americans, grunted, adn I told him that no one said not to use the bottom lock or I wouldn't have used it. It was ridiculous. Other than that it was an okay stay, the location is so far away from everything tho- 20 minute walk minimum from places to eat, shop etc. For the price- wouldn't stay here again. Would rather pay more to be closer to everything, stay in a nicer facility, and friendly staff.

The shower drain wasn't working, so we couldn't take a bath.

Comfortable large room and the hosts were willing to keep some bags for us while we hiked in the Dolomites. It was so so hot!

Loved the location, balcony, and staff! We loved the quiet neighborhood and the shared bathroom was very clean! We would recommend staying here!! The staff was so helpful. My only reason for not rating a 10 would be the air conditioner did not cool enough to my liking, but I bet others would think it is cool enough. The air conditioner could be cooler.

Just amazing Loved everything

Good location and good enough room for exploring Venice. I felt safe and comfortable enough. Many aspects of Venice are overpriced in my opinion. This place is a good enough option to keep costs down.

The WiFi does not work in the rooms and the staff is not very welcoming.

Location Plumbing in shared bathroom was very slow. It’s quite dark throughout the common spaces.

Great location with a large room. The shared bathroom was good too. Quieter area but just round the corner is lots of restaurants and shops. The restaurant downstairs was quite loud until 12pm due to a function that we weren’t aware of. That was only one of the nights.
