Our one-night stay at Hotel Galeria was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a lovely lady who made us feel at home. The following day, during check-out, we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, whose kindness and genuine hospitality perfectly reflected the spirit of this beautiful place. The highlight of our stay was waking up to the sunrise over the Grand Canal. The view was absolutely breathtaking. As the first rays of sunlight illuminated the water and the city slowly awakened, it felt like watching a masterpiece being painted before our eyes. It was peaceful, magical, and one of those rare moments that reminds you how extraordinary Venice can be. If you're looking for authentic hospitality and one of the most beautiful views in Venice, Hotel Galeria is a place you'll remember long after your trip ends. We are incredibly grateful for this wonderful experience and would love to return.

Dentro un palazzo antichissimo affacciato sul canal grande. Una delle stanze più affascinanti e piene di carattere in cui io sia mai stato. Rapporto qualità prezzo oltremodo eccellente

Firstly the location was so easy to access from the vaporetto (public transport boat buses) and it’s a great location to get around Venice. Then the room we had was just stunning, the arched window was a gateway to the prettiest view of the grand canal. We went crazy with our cameras enjoying the boats passing while we sat on our big comfy leather chairs. The mattresses were so comfortable to sink into and the shower room was large enough for two girlies to get ready in each morning and evening. We met both owners, Luciano and Lucio and they were both lovely, Lucio gave us so much of his time to make recommendations, help us to plan our day and even prepared a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my sister’s birthday. It was a wonderful stay, made special by the traditional rooms that are unspoilt! It was everything we could have dreamed of and more!

Perfect location, comfortable room, friendly staff!

Its location next to the Accademia Bridge is outstanding! The access codes to get in the doors worked out perfectly. The floors are uneven, so if you have problems walking, you need to be careful. But the building is historic, so that is understandable.

The mattress was too soft in our view. It should have been firmer.

This was a truly unbelievable experience. We had a fantastic stay with our kid. Rooms were shining clean. Location that you could dream of and mind blowing view over the Canal. We enjoyed every minute of it and grateful to the hospitable and kind staff!

I have passed by this hotel for years but never stayed there until this month. I do not know what took me so long! It is a very nice hotel in a truly remarkable location. And the price - well let's just say you do not often find hotels in this area for such a reasonable price. As a solo traveler I really appreciate this. My room was clean, comfortable and even though overlooking the busy Accademia bridge, extremely quiet with the windows closed. I was allowed to check in a bit early which I also appreciated - communication with the owners was really fantastic, better than any other Venice hotel I have stayed in, to be honest. I do not believe one can go wrong with this hotel as long as they keep their expectations in check - this is a one star hotel, so there is no elevator and also, no air conditioning which will be an issue for some in the hotter months. They do have ceiling fans in the rooms. I would absolutely stay here again. There are some great places to eat and drink very close by - check out Gia Schiavi for a glass of wine and cicchetti, and Taverna San Trovaso - both are institutions. Everything was great but next time I will pay a bit extra to get a room with a canal view!

Rooms are old and small but if you need a hotel in a good location, overlooking the canal - book this!

Close to everything No tv

The property is a part of a 17th century palace and it’s very clean and elegant. It’s very close to the Academia water taxi stand it’s just 23 minutes ride from the station. View of the grand canal and academia bridge is so beautiful. The boats, the gondolas, the water taxis, the seagulls, the little egrets catching fishes all those beautiful scenes from the room. Nothing comes to my mind

The room had a window with a nice view to the river. The location is amazing, very centric and next to a boat stop. Internet was good. Room and installations were clean. The owners were very nice and friendly. Negative - Our room (Room 7) was very very very tiny. The size of the room was like 2 meter wide by 5 meters long and the bed occupied most of the width of the room, you could barely walk inside the room.

We loved the location.

I requested two split bed but it was double. They wanted 2 eur tax by cash. Toilet and shower outside the room (but private)

Charm and location.

The location was great very close to everything. To the restaurants, to the water taxi. The owner was very nice, accomodating and very friendly. Will stay again in the future.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. the sheets aren't or at least don't look very clean. The room has a certain smell. After all it's a one star hotel don't expect much even though it is a bit expensive but that's all for the view and location. Not the services orr the room itself.

The location of the property is perfect for visiting Venice. It is in Dorsoduro which is a less touristy bit of the city and still very close to all the usual tourist places in Venice. The decor of the hotel is very nice and in keeping with the vibe of the city and it was very clean. The walls of the hotel were very thin and we were able to hear people's conversations not just coming from the corridor but also coming from the rooms... we were even able to hear people snoring! We had to wear ear plugs every night and it didn't give us the feeling that the room was very private.
