Locatie Very disappointing experience During our stay, €2,500 in cash and important personal documents disappeared from a locked compartment in our suitcase after check-out. Both of us had seen the envelope in the suitcase before leaving the room. Our room was locked and, after handing in the key, our luggage was taken directly from the room to our car by the hotel bellboy. The suitcase remained closed and secured throughout our journey. We only discovered the missing items when we arrived home. We reported the incident to the police and contacted the hotel. Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed with the way the hotel handled the situation. The hotel initially told us that the bellboy who had handled our luggage was off duty and that they would wait until he returned before questioning him. We find it unacceptable that, in a situation this serious, questioning the person directly involved was not treated as an immediate priority. One passport also had a tracking feature which showed its location in the vicinity of the hotel. Unfortunately, that signal has since disappeared after informing them. The hotel also informed us that the CCTV footage was no longer available because it is only retained for 72 hours. Instead of taking responsibility and offering meaningful assistance or compensation, the hotel mainly defended its staff by stating that they have no criminal records. A clean criminal record does not prove that an incident could not have occurred. The incident has caused us significant financial loss and, more importantly, forced us to disrupt our travel plans because of the missing documents. We find the hotel’s handling of this matter extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Do not book this hotel.

Fabulous location - lovely to step out of the front door straight into one of the popular areas. Good breakfast, with gluten free options provided. It's a little old fashioned, so don't book here if you like sleek and modern. More characterful, I would say.
