Hotel Rathauspark Wien - Handwritten Collection

Location. My room (which I shared with my wife) smelled really bad (like dirty and wet carpets that created an almost unbearable smelly feet stench). Prices are not cheap for such a fundamental flaw ruins the experience. And it was the only one available so I couldn't change rooms.

The hotel is very centrally located, a stone throw from City Hall, the university, and some 15-25 minutes on foot from many of the city centre key locations. The room was spacious and the bed generously sized. Apples and water were available every morning for free from the hotel main entrance. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. My room was immediately below the roof, so it didn't have normal windows but only two roof windows. Unfortunately one blind was defective which means that every morning I was forced to wake up very early as the roof window was immediately above my head on the bed. The safe in the room only had about 4 digits working, all the others weren't. This was quite odd, as that meant I could only use a handful of combinations, making it potentially easy for anyone to access it. The bathroom was decently sized and it featured shampoo and body/hand soap. It would have been great to also have a shower cap and some face cleaning wipes and face lotion, for everyday care.

Breakfast is amazing. You have a variety of choices and the food is fresh.

No fridge in the room.

The only real downside was the complete lack of a fridge. There was actually a designated spot and a plug for one, but the fridge itself was simply missing from the room. It’s a bit disappointing for a 4-star hotel to miss a standard amenity like that, but otherwise, the comfort and quality were definitely there.

This was our last stay on a 2 week vacation. We were blown away with the friendliness, cleanliness and size of the rooms. We were PLEASENTLY surprised when our room had A/C! The 3-person room we booked had the 3rd person on the pull out couch (size of a full size bed) and was very comfortable. Our room also included 1.5 baths and a huge wardrobe. Breakfast looked yummy, but we didn't purchase any meals. The hotel provides very light snacks in the afternoon, which was appreciated after all of the walking we did in Vienna. While the hotel itself is AMAZING, I didn't feel like we were in the middle of large pedestrian areas for shopping/restaurants.

It was clean, good location, staff was nice. The bath tub was little bit high and harder to get in and out. The shower would do just fine.

Breakfast was exceptional. Room was very good, and the location too. The hotel is located in the central area, close to the pedestrian zone. It is however in a quiet neighborhood. I liked pretty much everything.

The location was very good transport excellent. We got the train from the airport then an underground train very easy and only cost just over 10 euros for two people.

A very pleasant experience. The staff are courteous. The property is located in a quiet, upscale area. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed our stay here.

The location of the hotel was good. The person who responsible to manage our accomodation in the hotel (except Michelle) was not sincere to explain why the last minute changes of our room. I had booked our accommodation three months ago, and the reception gave us the small, dark and unsuitable room on 6th floor to stay with my wife. After a long discussion with the reception, l think his name was Mina, Michelle helped us to arrange a room on 4th floor. Thank you, Michelle.

Clean, spacious, very well lit corridors, and rooms. Breakfast was excellent. The staff and the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. Would have preferred a walk-in shower, the bath could do with a safer handle to help getting in/out.
