Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/North 37th Street

We had two lovely nights here. Vivian at the front desk was amazing!! She really went above and beyond for a couple New Yorkers. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others

The hotel lobby is welcoming, and the room was clean. Staff were polite and helpful when assisting guest questions/needs. Outdoor pool was really nice. The hotel itself is steps from the beach, which was convenient when carrying chairs, blankets and toys.

the outdoor pool was very fun and big and the breakfast is good. location is nice as there is alot thats walkable. very limited baggage transport and only one elevator thats very busy. and the pools could as least be open till 11pm.

My stay was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! One would expect a room with proper lighting. Our room was not only poorly lit but it was so small that I did not use the shower or get ready in it all. The hotel towels were stained and the scumb build up in the bathroom was completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, the sink drain wasn’t working and when maintenance came to the room to rectify, simply advised us that was not the proper drain in the sink and just removed it entirely. The pillows were so flat, they might as well not even have provided any. There was a coffee maker from the 1950s, but given the disgusting sink it was jammed next to, I was afraid to use so an outrageous price, we not only stayed without lighting, but without pillows, clean towels or coffee! The outdoor pool closed before sunset, which didn’t allow us to use it at all. At checkout when I was advised my total was much more than what I’d confirmed, even at check in with the hotel, the instructions from the hotel were to contact and sort it out with Expedia, as there was no manager working at the time. I was given a card and time to call back to speak with management but when I called, I was told the manager wouldn’t take my call and was again told that I needed to contact Expedia. I will certainly never stay at a Marriott again. Simply AWFUL!

Its sad bcuz of the experience on the first day alone I feel inclined to give all 4 stars but I did enjoy my room and my family had fun and the main thing was we had space as it was my wife and two kids we werent crammed together. And ultimately i could guve 4 stars but why put down a business for something i couldve did to avoid from get go So having said that my suggestion to anyone is to avoid this if you can pay up front then do so thats all

The room was very nice and clean and the beds were really comfortable! Also, loved the oceanfront room looking at the sunrises over the ocean❤️ The extra cost to park my car and no free breakfast

It was clean and ready on time for us. The condition of the room beat our expectations for an east coast vacation. This has been our 3rd visit to Virginia Beach and this has been our best stay. We were able to walk to a number of restaurants and shops. That was a really part of the stay, also a nice area that we all enjoyed and felt safe. The hotel was great, pools clean etc. only suggestion is to add more chairs. We took our own to the pools so we could sit and enjoy them. Otherwise the few chairs they supply are taken and held. I would stay here again.
