Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach/Norfolk Airport

This Fairfield was very clean, staff very professional, good location, and good parking. I had to leave halfway through my stay due to mother dying. I got home in time to be with my mom when she passed. Fairfield was very quick at getting my refund for days not used. I am thankful for their understanding. I will use Fairfield again

The staff was above average, very nice, very attentive!!! The laundry room AND pool were closed the entire week we were there, 2 of the amenities I truly needed as a truck driver. But even with that, I enjoyed the room, the bed and the staff . It is an exceptional location with Starbucks in parking lot, Aberdeen Barn directly across the street and many other options

Great room for the price, breakfast was nice too (not too much processed food!) the only thing was the person at the front desk when we checked in, she was uninterested, dismissive, almost rude. But the other staff was nice !

All good Reservation. We reserved a king size bed and ended up, after 20 minutes waiting, with 2 queen beds which seemed small. We did not arrive til after 4 p.m. and still seemed like things were not ready and no room for us. Very dissatisfied. Also no pool was a downer

There was no phone in my room, the iron was broken and the handle on my toilet was broken.

The room assigned had a door where you could open and then there was another room with people. When I booked the room, this was not disclosed!

The only complain I can think of was a trace of moldy smell when ac is off. Everything else was perfect. The room was spacious, the beds and pillows were comfortable. Good breakfast. The bathroom seems to be recently updated. Would love the frosted glass in the shower for privacy and a few hooks. The location is great with multiple food options within walking distance. Plenty parking spots. The swimming pool, gym and laundry were not crowded and available to use.

Our family of 4 had a nice weekend stay. The staff was nice. One of our beds was weirdly uncomfortable, but the other one was fine. But other than that, no complaints. Breakfast was good. We would stay again.

It was a great stay with one exception. We had an ADA room. The shower floor, which probably was once a very good no-slip surface, was very slippery. If I hadn’t had the safety bars to hold onto the entire time, it could have been interesting. I’m mentioned this at check out. BTW - this isn’t just an issue at this property - it’s happening more and more as we travel. The average hotel could save itself some immense liability issues by simply providing a “Rubbermaid” style mat with suction cups on the bottom that guests can choose to use - or not. Unsolicited advice given!

Could not get the room cooled below 73F. Maintenance tried to fix the problem. We stayed 5 days and roasted. Staff was very friendly.
