Intown Suites Extended Stay Virginia Beach Va

Disappointing

Overall great value. The location was really good and easy accessible to the beach with plenty of nearby restaurants and shopping. We chose the intown suites extended stay because the property advertisement on-line looked awesome. We were very excited and looking forward to enjoying this great looking suite after enjoying our daily Virginia Beach attractions and activities. Our Arrival: The outside facility looked pretty good and the location was great. It was walking distance to the Golden Corral Buffet in the same strip. However, upon entering we were very disappointed! The check in area was filthy! The gray sofa was full of stains and dirty! My wife refused to sit down while I was checking in. The ceiling fan had severe dust accumulated on the blades. There was a visible bowl of leftover spaghetti sauce residue on the counter top. Our confirmed 11am -12pm approved check in was not ready because maintenance was apparently working on the suite. Finally the clerk informed us that the suite was ready, however, he wanted us to see the suite before checking in. (I thought this was strange) At this time, I knew this wasn't going to be good. Why would I need to see this awesome looking suite I booked on-line if that's what the suite really looked like? We walked up the stairs with the clerk and noticed the dirty stairs and the strong urine smell. Upon entering the suite, we were shocked that it didn't look anything like we booked on-line! It was dark looking and dirty. The sink cabinet door was not attached and the bed was practically next to the window air conditioner. The two gray chairs was filthy and had old crumbs and debris between the cushions! We wanted to cancel and leave, but it would have been almost impossible to find a place to stay for 7 days! Therefore under those circumstances and against our will, we decided to proceed with checking in! After checking in, we noticed that the AC had a very stale molded odor smell coming out from the vents from not being properly serviced. This molded smell caused me to have an allergic reaction.

Location Never got house keeping after being promised several times.

Room was decent definitely not like it’s picture and at night no staff is on the property every night we would hear fighting and yelling from outside.

Darnell at the front desk is a consummate professional. He executes the protocols for my needs immediately upon request and with superior knowledge of the processes and hotel grounds. He runs a tight ship, ensuring the hotel stays pristine in the way of cleanliness and that the tenants are following the rules.

Darnell is AMAZING. I could park right outside my door and walk to Golden corral or Starbucks. It's great. I'm literally two minutes from the interstate and downtown, too.

When reserving the room, we asked about checking in early (1:30 instead of 3:00), and I was told it wouldn't be a problem. We arrived at noon and went in to see if we could check in but not get the room yet. Was told we needed to come back at 1:30 and then it wouldn't be a problem and we could check the room to see if we really wanted it. Came back at 1:30, different person at counter. Was adamant that they had nothing for us until 3:00 and did not have any double rooms that are handicap accessible. (One person has a broken neck, walks with a cane, and is 83. The other person has had open heart surgery twice and will need heart surgery when returns to home state. ) Did not get to see the room before running cc (3rd person at counter now) ROOM: The microwave handle is broken. The "dresser" is to have two drawers. We have one and does not open to where we can use it. The seal on the refrigerator door is coming off. They said they would glue or double tape it by the end of the week. It never happened. The stove has a two burner stove top but doesn't have any type of cooking utensils, pans, dishes, etc. Doesn't have dish soap, dish towels, or pot holders. So the room is really useless if you want to cook in it. They said you can purchase kitchen items, coffee makers, and cleaning items if you need them from the front desk. This is above the cost of the expensive room. Baby cockroaches have also been seen in the room.

Conscience and cleanliness When you register as a married couple and your spouse doesn’t “add” your name they give you a really hard time about a key when you’re locked out. I understand it, but maybe they should ask at check in other names to be listed in the account for key purposes etc. when you book on line it’s one name

The worker's at the lobby are very nice and with good manner. But the hotel managers is rude person.

The property was terrible we got there at 1:00am, the room smelled like smoke and was dirty. My wife went to use the toilet and it was stopped up. We was very disappointed the room did not appear to be anything as it was advertised. My wife and I did not stay it was not fit for a dog to stay in. We had to find another hotel and didn't make it to bed until 3am
