Capital Hotel

Quiet, clean, comfortable, and relaxing hotel. Fantastic view of the canyon, the river, and the very top of the mountain Ararat from the windows and balcony. A/C works fine. Friendly and helpful staff. My request for room service not every day, but once every three days was accommodated. Refrigerator and kettle in the room made it easy to make my own breakfast. A walk to the metro station is short, with two grocery stores and several cafes on the way. Would be nice to have a divider/ curtain between the shower and the toilet, a rubber mat in the shower, a towel mat, and a shelf above the sink. A better arrangement for kettle is needed- a longer cord or another plug, so boiling water won’t be close to the computer’s place on the desk. Internet doesn’t work good. A restaurant down in the canyon can be loud in the evening but it is quiet late at night.

Large and clean room.Very helpful and positive gays on reception. You can easily go to the centre of the city 25 minutes to walk.

You get what you pay for - it's more of a house than a hotel. It's a bit old though, so the rooms and bathrooms have to be renovated. Old pictures simce 2017/18 when they were recognized by booking.com as one of the best destinations.

In my winder stay there was ice on tall stairs steps on entrance which remains in place more than 1 day. There also Icicles were on top of entrance corridor over the head. It is very dangerous: the guest could fall from stairs and broke limbs or got more damage, the Icicles could fall to head and make serious damage. You must take seriously care of ice cleaning in winter period all the time.

We traveled with family, and we absolutely loved the room. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it perfect for our stay. The balcony offered a lovely view, and since the location is away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it provided a peaceful and calming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. The room was basic but functional, though there were some major inconveniences. There was only one trash bin, which wasn’t nearly enough for a family that likes to eat in the room. We also found that the hotel doesn't clean rooms or change towels during your stay, which is quite unusual, especially for a multi-night visit. Another downside was the payment method. The hotel only accepts cash, and there’s no card machine available, which was really inconvenient. It would have been much easier to pay with a card, especially for an international guest. For anyone traveling with large luggage, be aware that there’s no elevator, which can make things tough when carrying heavy bags up multiple flights of stairs. Location-wise, while the hotel is relatively peaceful, it’s a bit isolated. The nearest shops and restaurants are a 10-15 minute uphill walk, which can be a bit tiring, especially if you're older or have young kids.

Big room.. I ask for room clean up after a day of stay along with door tag clean sign but no action.I ask the reception that it's ok no need to clean but just empty the trash bin. He responded that no cleaner was available. It will be available only in the morning after we check out. With no complaints, I empty the trash bin mostly diapers. Out of the building from the second floor. I then asked him to give me a plastic bag for the trash bin so I can place it but unfortunately they don't have it either.. Secondly, When we arrived he said no cash coz machine was unserviceable, luckily, we (my family and my colleague's family) have enough cash that we exchange from the airport. Thirdly, my colleague booked us the Dec 21 rooms and I booked Dec 22 and 23 room for 2 families When we arrived Dec 22 at 2am, .He said only 1 3bed available rooms for family. One family will be on a 2 bed (2 adult 1 16years old and 1 8 years old) will be sleeping) but still my colleague agreed since he promised the next day he will give us what we booked. When we arrived from tour around night time My colleague expected to be transferred for another room but same reception guy declined that he give to another customer since we came late night and he thought we will not transfer. My colleague ask to refund the difference of the room. But again he said he will manage and eventually gave the room that we booked for. What a liar! Poor customer service, even plastic they don't have. As for the unserviceable machine, they should advise the people who book for them for card payment. What if we don't have cash that time and it is 2 am in the morning? Location is not near to city center.
