Carat Hotel Yerevan

We loved everything except the bidet in the washroom(the water pressure was too high)

Location was far from city center and there is no crowd or markets near

Kind staff Size of the room and the facilities of the hotel according to the price

This hotel has incredible views from rooms starting from 6th floor up. I upgraded our rooms for this reason, as room on the 3rd floor was facing a wall of the building across. But waking up and look at the Yerevan and Ararat mountain was spectacular. The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings, clean, with great towels, bedding, service, quiet at night and not too noisy in the morning - there was some distant noise from construction but it was tolerable. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Spa was a plus. There wasn’t much I didn’t like, rather than when we wanted to shorten my sister’s stay from 4 nights to 3 nights and informed the reception desk 27 hours in advance they told us it’s not enough of the notice - their policy is 48 hours advance notice and they will not refund us for 1 night. So if you have an emergency, you won’t get your money back for prepaid stay. I never heard about this rule, it seemed as they simply didn’t want to give up what already was accounted for. Nobody told us about this rule when we were checking in. So the management - this is who receptionist was quoting as she was just the messenger - doesn’t seem to be accommodating when it comes for money refunds. I think it’s shortsighted policy and a major turn off. At the spa only one sauna out of 3 was working. Hamam was filling up non-stop with hot steam and it was unbearable to stay there, plus there was big chance to scold your feet when entering and exiting. I notified management of the spa and the next day it was turned off as the room next door. So everyone could use only one remaining sauna.

The place is amazing and the staff too

My room was on the -1 floor. It had a window, but the location made it extremely hot! and the cooling system did not work. The carpets were slightly unclean (I had some allergies at night). Overall I would not have stayed longer in that room, but maybe rooms in higher floors are better.

The hotel is located on the hill with the spectacular views of Ararat mountain if you get the room above 4-5th floor for an small extra upgrade cost. It’s relatively quiet room with distant construction noise in the morning, but no road traffic noise coming from outside. Rooms are specious and bathrooms are clean and with good towels and bedding. The spa had only 1 sauna working out of 3 other options - hamam was broke and so is another steam room. But it wasn’t crowded so we got by with the sauna. I tried to check out of the room day earlier and gave reception 27 hours notice hoping to get my money back for 1 night but they told me that the “management” denied my request due to 48 hours cancellation policy I wasn’t informed about upon check in. I thought it was a bit cheeky …

It was very clean and the staff were really helpful The lighting, there was no window in my room which is ok but the lighting was either too bright or too dark, it was either you could not sleep because of the brightness or could not wake up in the morning because of the darkness

Everything is great. Hotel facilities are top-notch. Christine and Simon at the reception were very pleasant and helped me handle some unexpected circumstances - they're really great at their jobs.

Very clean room

Location is good. 1- Staff in general in front office are ok. 2- Luggage guys are very helpful. 3- Standard rooms are very very very small & based in the Underground, you just feel like you are staying in a cave. And if you are height is more than 1.80cm don t even think to book a standard room. 4- Quality vs price is not at all balanced. 5- corridors are very noise, high music from very early morning on speakers hanged in all corners of the floor. 6-One super SURPRISING thing, It was -8 degree, MINUS EIGHT, and we asked for an extra cover, as the cover was they were providing inside the room was short and was not sufficient for 2 persons ,They said they will check with house keeping and will provide IF available, and they did not provide it !! Considering that the hotel was not full and empty rooms were available. That was unbelievable and they did not even call back or inform that they cannot provide. We were planning to stay and upgrade the room. But good we did not. We went to another hotel, same stars, closer to center, and with the same budget we got a suite.

Clean, well maintained facilities, helpful staff. A small walk to the town through the Cascade.

Such a wonderful stay! The hotel was amazing, the staff were the loveliest ever! And a special thanks to Cara, she sent me an Armenian sweet I loved a lot (Gata) to my room as a gift, I enjoyed every minute staying in this hotel, the room was so beautifully designed and clean, and the restaurant at the top was so delicious and special, I've never experienced such amazing food, and hospitality, I will definitely book again in a couple of month, Armenia and Armenians got a piece of my heart. -

The staff at the property were exceptionally welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment of arrival. What impressed me most was the spa floor, which includes a beautifully designed jacuzzi, pool, and sauna. This area offers a distinctive and relaxing experience that sets the property apart. While the gym is compact, it is equipped with all the essential workout equipment for a convenient fitness routine. Overall, I highly recommend this property for its excellent service, cleanliness, and unique wellness facilities.

Room was clean and nice. Location was great. Breakfast was awful!! I never expected that cheap breakfast at all!!! when I told the front desk, she replied firmly that if I have complains I go online and write down a feedback!! My reservation was for 3 nights, due to this behavior I decided to cancel last night. They never refunded and charged me extra night while I requested from the first day to the manager and booking.com. booking.com approved the request and adjusted the price but the hotel never accepted and charged me extra night. I didn't find this hotel hospitable.....
