A lovely old hotel that has kept its character in an excellent location so you get the full force of the bell ringing at the minster which is a lovely sound but if you don't like the sound book somewhere else, for me one of the highlights of this hotel. The staff are great Beata, Federico, Tina, Gary etc and the room cleaner all so friendly, polite, professional and go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel lounges are lovely just to sit and relax with daily newspapers to hand and the breakfast and other menus have plenty of choice. Bar and restaurant areas are clean and beautifully thought out and what a view at breakfast! My room was beautiful with a huge shower and has all that you need,I highly recommend this hotel it was exactly what I needed so I go home relaxed ready to commence my duties looking after elderly father, cats, dogs and hedgehogs. Thankyou team Dean Court I shall be back! Nothing all great!

Excellent location Breakfast was great and good choice Cleanliness was if a high standard No light by dressing table No drawers for underwear Aircon unit too loud but needed on at all times due to heat Lift very slow and not big enough for 6 people

The location of the hotel is hard to beat: within sight of the minster. Rooms that overlook the front of the property are well appointed, if small. Rooms that face the back of the property are small and noisy. If you search for reviews you will find many complaints about these rooms. Ensure you have a front facing room when you book.

Everything. Really clean, excellent location. Friendly staff Would have preferred a view but the size of our room made up for the lack of it. We stayed in an accessible room on the ground floor on this occasion ( not by choice). Stayed at this hotel before and the view was great but the room was much smaller. So not really a negative just an observation.

Central position opposite York Minster and near the old city centre. Good hotel facilities. No air conditioning in my room on the honest day of the year!
