Outstanding breakfast, good location near the train station

The location was excellent. The fact there was a carpark at the property was really useful. The breakfast was great. The room comfortable. The shower head was too big for the size of the shower cubicle and the shower cubicle felt a bit claustrophobic.

Overall a pleasant stay, good mattress and pillows. The room was tidy and clean. Danielle was very welcoming. The room is a bit aging, especially the bathroom. The water pressure was not high for the cold water, the shower is a bit rusty.

Very comfortable. Friendly hosts. 15-min walk to the old city (40 to the Minster). Breakfast (by advance booking only). Free parking (tight).

Good location to visit York and very handy for the station. Room was cosey and quiet. Staff were great and the breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Great to have carparking so close to the city. Being an older property there is no lift.

10 mins walk from train station, 15 mins walk to city centre, bus stop in front of hotel. Both english and continental bf available with fruits, yogurt, sausages, beans, etc. No waiting time as you select a time slot. Large comfy bed, heating ok, toiletries are provided, cabin shower a bit small, bed is done daily. Towels are renewed on demand. Kettle and tea, coffee are replenished in room daily. Small fridge that can hold 4 cans in room. Fast WiFi. Iron is available in common room. Laundry is available at hotel itself at uk5 per batch. Polite staff. Clean and reasonable sized room and bathroom. An awesome stay.

Check in /out was easy, the owner is very pleasant. The bed was comfortable, the shower was small but but adequate, lots of hot water and water pressure. Parking available in the rear of the property. Room was quiet, facing the rear of the property. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Easy walk into the center of York. Did not have breakfast. The room had a tiny, but useful refrigerator, used the microwave in the breakfast room.

Very accommodating, delicious breakfast, hosts were super sweet. Clean room and comfortable It was confusing from train to Apple House. Maybe a map with drawing would be good idea. Property was a good walk to all the attractions.

We had such a lovely stay thanks to the warm hospitality of the hosts. They waited for us, helped with everything we needed, and made us feel truly welcome. The place was spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and close to the city centre. Our visit was perfect because of their kindness and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The room was definitely large enough, fitted out with the correct amenities and comfortable. Some of the things in the bathroom, like the floor peeling up around the shower, were not at the standard of the rest of the facilities.

Maybe Wi-Fi is a little slow.

Easy to walk to attraction sites, food, train station. Daily choice of breakfast prepared and served by friendly staff. Easy to catch a bus right out the door. Situated on a busy street with both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Modernization of old building looked a bit DIY.

The location is excellent - we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to do. The room was clean and they provided Yorkshire Tea (the best tea) as well as biscuits, chocolate, hot chocolate, and coffee. There was an iron and ironing board that could be used, books, and DVDs. Mesh curtains over the room window please! Just my preference though.

Staff were very helpful. Car Park is rather cramped with the building work on the new house and the stack of bricks and offcuts of blocks made getting out a little difficult.
