This is my second time staying at Hotel Spirgarten. I love its central location in Zurich. It's a roughly 15 mins' ride to the Zurich HB train station by tram. My room was spacious and comfortable; and the bathroom was clean, too. There is COOP right next door where one can buy groceries and personal care items. The breakfast provided was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, the room does not come with a mini fridge. The main door that leads to the rooms is very heavy to push through. I also found the internet connection to be TERRIBLE in my 2nd floor room. I was frustrated multiple times when I tried to access the Wi-Fi. I need the internet for my work so this was a major obstacle for me.

The hotel is amazing - everything inside is new and clean. The room was cleaned every day and looked like the first day when I came. The room had everything that I needed. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the ones in the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious. The position of the hotel is amazing - the city centre is reachable within 20 minutes by public transportation and there are a lot of supermarkets and pharmacies nearby.

A quit room despite the location No air conditioning! We had an oscillating fan that helped a bit, but it could be more comfortable sleeping with an AC unit. They put us in a larger, cooler room on the second floor to compensate for the very hot temperature outside on that day and we appreciated that.

The hotel impressed us with its cleanliness, excellent location, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere — a truly enjoyable stay!

The staff were great. That’s about it We didn’t realize that there was no ac at the property. This wouldn’t normally be a problem but it was incredibly hot outside and inside the tiny, expensive room. Additionally, there was construction happening outside our window. We were breathing in tar fumes and being woken up by power tools the whole night since we had to keep the windows open to keep it cool inside. We also had to use the check in machine outside the hotel to check in. This required me to put in my credit card information on a large publicly viewable screen with no privacy for my information I was entering.

Staff were so friendly. I asked for the possibility of a little more time in the room as I had to take a work call and it was no problem, they were very accomodating. Room was very comfortable and clean. WIFI was good.
