Newly built in 2016, Placid Hotel Zurich offers double rooms and suites on the 5 top floors of a 12-floor business tower in Zürich Albisrieden-Altstetten. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. All rooms come in a timeless design with precious materials and feature a flat-screen TV, a digital concierge service with an iPad, a seating area and a coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules. They have floor-to-ceiling windows, which can be opened. Well located for a city trip, friendly staff, comfortable & clean rooms, convenient underground parking. There is stop for the tram going into the heart of the city just 3 walking minutes away from the hotel. The hotel offers upon request free entry to Kunsthaus Zurich, which is big bonus - it saves 36 CHF entry fee per person!

It was modern and new The overhead shower was not working, and the washbasin was clogged, causing the water to remain stagnant and not drain properly.

Very helpful and friendly staff who made us feel welcome, even with our late check-in after 10pm. The early breakfast from 6am was convenient, and the basement parking was very useful. The continental breakfast felt a little overpriced for the selection, with limited variety of warm breakfast options.

The food at the restaurant was amazing! I had the BBQ short ribs which were delicious and the Lemoncello aperitif was excellent! I would include photos of the food, but I was halfway through eating it already. The room itself was not what I expected. The floors 'looked' dirty (I tried wiping up what looked like dirt but it must have been stained by cleaning products or something else), the placement of the shower was interesting - perhaps different if not in a 'single' room. The location is in an industrial complex setting so lots of noise from below and the view wasn't exactly inspiring.

The room was spacious with a king bed.. No air-conditioning was a problem but the supply of a fan helped.

The breakfast was superb. The room was very nice with a lovely design and a cool window. The location is terrible: in the middle of nowhere, it is pretty hard to get there if you don' have a car. No facilities nearby.

Minimalist and modern - beautiful! The location was not great at all and the restaurant is way overpriced for breakfast.
