The person that responded to my messages was rude and not very helpful. No parking without paying for a parking garage which should be mentioned in the listing but more importantly the person answering messages should at least know how to direct you to a nearby parking garage. When I asked the response was "I don't know". I asked if we could get extra pillows as I need them for medical reasons and the only response I got was "Really!" There is no air conditioning and the shape of the building blocks good airflow. The "bed" was a 4" thick pad on top of a solid wooden base. The pillow that were provided seem like they are 10 years old. They are very thin and worn out.

Shared bathroom (I don’t remember if it was mentioned in the description). Low ceilings (2m). The street is too loud (not their fault). One pillow had some strange smell.

The location was good, with convenient access to public transportation, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. However, there were several issues with the room. The Wi-Fi was very weak, and there was no proper cooling system, which made the room extremely hot and uncomfortable. There was only one power outlet available for the fridge, and another one behind the bed, which was practically impossible to use. The strangest issue was that there was no shampoo provided. At first, I was told it would be provided, but later I was informed that this service is not offered. The hand soap was almost empty, and the cleanliness was only average. The biggest problem, however, was the unbearable heat and the very weak cooling system. The lighting in the room was also extremely poor, almost like a night light rather than proper room lighting.

The guesthouse is a very good and affordable option for people that do not want to spent tons of money and just need a bed for one night. It offers as well laundry and kitchen facilities. The shared bathroom was clean and during nighttime it was calm and everybody respected the rules. I arrived late and did not find the switch-on for the light in my room. Therefore I did not see the fan that I could have used during this very hot night ;-) As well I would have appreciated to get the room number in advance via e-mail when the code for the key box was sent to me since I got a bit confused with the box number and first thought box 2 = room 2 which was not the case.

The location was very nice and safe and convenient for the train to get to Zurich HB. The two communal bathrooms for seven rooms caused a few awkward encounters.

Rude staff and then they stopped replying to messages. Till 3pm the day of my arrival I wasn't sure whether I have a place to stay (I didn't get the code). Overall it was a very stressful experience. Even though the place itself is nice.

Power outlets are too deep for adapters with a grounded plug: I could not charge my devices in the room as my universal adapter did not fit. Providing a non-grounded socket or adapter would be very helpful The room did not receive much natural light, as it was facing a narrow passage.

Nice building, clean bathroom, easy to access. The rooms were really different from the pictures on the booking. They were much smaller, and there was in both rooms just a one-person duvet for a two-person's bed. The pillows were extremely thin, and there was just one nightstand for a two-person bed in both rooms.

Comfort and friendly staff

The room and the common spaces were super tidy and well equipped. It was a very pleasant stay. The floor squeaks too much. It did not bother me too much because I was sleeping on the 1st floor but it could be an issue if there is another room downstairs on the ground floor below mine. Moreover, I needed to send my ID details twice because it seems that the first time I sent them, the guest house did not notice my email. Other than that, the stay was great.

The location is very good and convenient. 14min from Zuerich Airport and 10-12 min with Tram or Bus to Zurich Haupt Bahnhof and Town Centre. The house is a beautiful old village house renovated but adjacent to "Old Höngg" with Limmat vineyards etc. The facilities around are all in walking distance and good, including really good Restaurants and Pizzerias, Shopping is good, even nice bookstores and organic food shops.. I am sure you can have more luxury and more blingbling, but surely not for that money, not even close.
