Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Albany Downtown

Our stay was fine, but the weirdest thing was that the window in our room was only a foot wide. It felt very dark and awkward! Also, the fan in our bathroom was not working, which made for a very steamy room after showers and we had to prop our door to the hallway open just to let it air out. Otherwise staff was super helpful and this was a perfectly fine stay for one night.

Hotel was clean and functional. There were definitely some things that were not updated or fixed, like a toilet paper holder that had fallen off the wall and a broken soap dispenser that hadn’t been fixed.

It was close and in walking distance to the Event arena Got a room with no window so it felt like a storage room. The hallways were hot so the whole establishment had no AC except the rooms and the lobby. And there’s no parking you have to park on the garage.

In walking distance to the concert venue. The room we stayed in was shabby and the shower was grimy. The lamp was missing a lampshade and the pillows were wrapped in plastic and not comfortable at all. No parking available. The hotel does not provide a parking option other than a public lot not related to the hotel. No valet parking option available either which makes unloading with a family challenging to say the least. Additionally, the rooms were not ready at the agreed upon check in time.

Exceptional

The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was nice. The breakfast was delicious with options including biscuits, fried eggs, shredded cheese, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, bagels, etc. I found a free parking spot (on Saturday night) in front of the hotel. But my husband had to park his car a good distance away. FYI- the parking garage does not have EV chargers.

Most motels have a window, how is this even possible for a 3 star hotel for $273 a night A/C unit's cover had fallen off, and the thermostat was highly inaccurate. Street parking only, luckily i found a street parking spot as I arrived late, nothing in front of the hotel but it was nearby

Great location The lack of temperature control

The room did not have any windows and the temperature was 79 degrees. Not one of the nicer hotels I’ve stayed at.

The breakfast was the best we’ve had at a budget-friendly hotel. Any staff members we met were very friendly and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable.

I didn't like the lack of parking. However it was close to MVP arena.
