Hotel Heron Alexandria Old Town, Curio Collection by Hilton

Besides the fact that the rooftop was closed for a private event, we loved our stay at the Heron as always. It’s definitely one of our favorite hotels overall! We’ve stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so! The rooftop will be there next time!!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Beautiful hotel and nice rooftop bar with yummy food and drinks!

Exceptional

Loved this hotel- roof deck is a highlight but the rooms are modern and comfortable and the location is great. Staff was super nice and helpful. Only wish was when the valet brought our car they left the keys at front desk instead of taking them with them to get other cars. Left us waiting to get on the road unnecessarily.

Hotel was easy to access from the airport via rideshare or the metro and free Old Town Trolley. The room was spotless, and the hotel staff were friendly and approachable. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing I didn't realize was that my room would include $25/day of food purchases- you either use it or lose it. However, the cafe and the rooftop bar were very comfortable places to refresh and recharge. It wasn't a problem at all.

One of the most customer-oriented hotels we have stayed at. Staff could not do enough to make our stay a pleasurable one. Beautiful decor, warm welcome & communication. Not to mention the amazing rooftop!

Dinner at Kiln was a highlight. The food was comparable to any fine restaurant in Alexandria—and beyond. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. We would certainly return. Beds were a little too soft, but that is a personal preference. Not crazy about the online check-in process, but understand it might be a timesaver. We did not arrive or leave at a busy time so it made no difference. We had lived in Old Town for 20 years, so recognize that the location is great. Was disconcerted by the high cost of parking. $45 PLUS tips for bringing up and for parking the car was excessive.

Superb

Good location with shopping and food beginning a block away. Only disappointment was lack drawers. Room was plenty big enough for a chest of drawers of some kind that would have helped support our 4-night stay. Would totally stay again and recommend to friends.

Also the valet parking is very poorly run. Lots of times there was no one present at the desk. Was explained it is contracted out and hotel has no control over then

Comfortable room with helpful, friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed the rooftop bar. Drinks were pricey, but the barkeep was friendly and responsive. The hotel was an easy bus or tram ride to the public metro and easy walking to waterside restaurants and shops. Would stay here again.
