We particularly liked the walk in shower.

Overall stay was ok. The front desk service upon arrival was a little rude and left us unsure of our stay from the start. The fixtures in the bathroom were all semi broken. The tv was a little small and didn’t have many options. The location of the hotel is great. Overall not too bad, but not quite meeting expectations.

The hotel is well situated and has a period charm. We were made to feel welcome and had a relaxing evening We enjoyed eating in the bar but found the piano music rather loud.

Too bad pub is closed Sunday and Monday And strongly suggest Such a fabulous property shouid up grade tv to smart tv that can stream services

It’s a unique experience with a lovely lobby with chessboards, comfortable seating, an adjacent library, books for reading—conveniently located to King Street, the Main Street of Old Town Alexandria…and it’s affordable.

Cute place with lots of character and wonderful staff.

We were a bit disappointed. We were stuck in a basement room. The hotel was not what we remembered. We went there to relive our 1st Valentine’s say, which was 28 years ago. It was a bit shabby. The Marriott chain purchased it, so we expected it to be even more special, than it was 28 years ago. There was no mention, when we checked in that the front door of the hotel, would be locked at night. We rang the bell, but received no answer. We finally realized we had to use our key card to get in. Another couple came in behind us with the same issue. The hotel clerk was in the office, while we were waiting for the front door to be answered. We were offered a free breakfast, for the next day. It was not good. The pancakes were crunchy. They were completely dried out. The eggs were congealed, and there was not much else to choose from. I sincerely doubt we will ever go back. We paid around $300.00 for 1 night. 😞

The staff are wonderful, and the rooms on the lobby level are delightful and cozy.

HVAC WAS VERY LOUD
