The hotel is convenient to a tram line and very close to the major museums.

Great location and helpful staff! Very clean
-
The room was filthy. The carpet had many stains and it felt very grimey. The room probably hadn't been dusted in years. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The room had very bad ventilation because it was in the basement. The patio was nice but completely unmaintained.

The staff wasn't too friendly, the room wasn't very clean and the bathroom door didn't close at all

The staff made me wait outside in the cold for 15 min. My booking was not organized well. And the room was not clean but used.

The wonderful staff were so welcoming and helpful! They all went out of their way to ensure I had all I needed! The rooms were clean as were the common area. Nothing! I had a long stay and got to know all of the staff and sit and enjoy the Neighbour’s Magnolia which there actually is! The neighbors do have a beautiful magnolia tree which was flowering while I stayed there. So peaceful and serene!!!

The room was a bit shabby, had to go and ask for towels, it was very cold outside and no extra blankets provided.

This was my first place I stayed in Europe and wanted my own room to get my bearings. The staff is very nice and the lobby area is comfy. The room itself was pretty good. The shower needs a better pan or a way to stop water flooding all over the floor. That was irritating and ruined my floor towel.

Very dirty

Everything great

Convenient location and friendly reception staff. But the whole experience is spoiled by the smell. The fact that they didn't clean the room or change the towels is a minor detail. But the smell in the bathroom was terrible. It's stinky.

The staff, the staff, the staff :) They are helpful, friendly, and genuinely enjoy their work. This is huge because the attitude of the staff can make or break a hotel experience. Plus, they are masters of the scrambled egg in a cozy breakfast area overlooking The Neighbor’s Magnolia tree ?? The atmosphere is charming casual, where good will flows in a welcoming, old style elegance. The location is ideal, with Vondelpark around the corner and museum district within walking distance I was unable to access check in at midnight via Intercom. Street traffic was surprisingly loud.

The independence of the system and the kindness of the staff (Adam is an incredible guest) The lights wasnt work perfectly in the bathroom

The location is perfect for visiting both the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijk Museum. The number 2 tram to Amsterdam Central Station runs down the street past the hotel. The bus to the airport is five minutes walk away. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The bacon at breakfast was delicious as was the freshly baked rolls. Nothing

The staff was very helpful, good clean room. Right on tram line for easy transport to airport. Liked the neighborhood.

We had an excellent breakfast here, good comfy beds in a quiet room, and thought it was a good location (close to tram and bus routes to the old town center and to the airport). The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to store our luggage there before our book in time and after we booked out. We had nice conversations with them and tea, coffee and cookies in the afternoon! Their front entrance hall really needs cleaning and sprucing up. It gives a poor first impression. Also, there was no working hair dryer in the room . It was a bit cool in the room and we couldn't get the heat to go on. I think, being April, the heating was already turned off for the summer season.

Small, simple but clean and comfortable.

The Neighbour’s Magnolia truly lives up to its name. It is beautifully surrounded by blooming magnolia trees, which add such a lovely touch to the atmosphere. The space was cozy, with a warm, local vibe. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and always ready to assist. The location was perfect for our plans. We wanted to explore the city on foot and visit nearby museums, and it was only about a 15-minute walk to most of the spots on our list. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. P.S. One things to note, there is no elevator, so light traveling is a good idea!

We encountered a bit of a situation within the family on our visit and the staff were exceptional with us. Really helpful and patient. We would like to offer our thanks to the two gents who helped us, we really apologise for the inconvenience! Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, bed size was great and bedding comfortable and clean little alarmed and swipe card set up on the room doors, we each had our own bathrooms/showers/baths/toilets. Building is a short (2 mins) walk from Tram stop on route no.s 2 and 12. Lovely neighbourhoood with bars/cafes near (but no noise from them and quiet streets). Try the pizza place over the street too. We were able to leave our luggage stacked with other customers within the reception area before check in, again, staff were lovely and we each got little stroopwaffels on our exit, Thank you my neighbours magnolia! Ubiquitously narrow dutch stairs in a tall narrow building can't be helped but bear it in mind if you have a lot of luggage or large feet :)
