This property was above average in every way except the bathrooms, they were below average in every way including functionality, cleanliness, out of supplies, etc. Seemed so out of place with the rest of the property.

location is good ..near restaurants and shop..need a taxi to go astana city center. Staff are nice...toilet were clean.. May be hostel should plant some flowers at the garden and set up a few chairs..

Nothing except leaving. Mattresses with springs poking through. Receptionists, all 3, who are graduates of the Aeroflot school of rude stewardesses ca 1980. 2 of the 3 toilet cubicles had no working doors, one had none. Kitchen with minimal equipment and no window. May be just during my stay, but full of religious zealots (Muslim and Evangelical) who accosted me. On 3 mornings I had to wake the receptionist around 8.30 to beg for a bog roll. Only reason for 2 points is that the cleaner was really thorough. You get what you pay for, which is very little specially since no maintenance to facilities has been done since opening 15 years ago.

Heating was good in the hostel. Toilets and kitchen were dirty, toilets also do not have proper doors and they can't be locked from inside.
