Location & stunning view! Extremely noisy rooms/ property. Unpleasant staff, especially breakfast waiter. Run down property. No sunbeds.

-
The view only The facilities are so bad and the rooms are so hot
-
Spacious lake view rooms and friendly staff. Tap water flow pretty weak

The hotel needs updating desperately. Only one outlet in the entire room across from bed half way up the wall. Couldn't plug in Cpap machine. No hand soap in bathroom. Towels old and used. Obe bed very uncomfortable. No a/c but some screens have holes. Price bookings told me and confirmed was the price we paid. Was much higher. Two tables with with chairs. A table with no chairs. This hotel has really going down hill

Nothing. Well, maybe only the views. One of the worst hotels ever. No TV, poor internet connection, awful bathroom and awful cleanliness. It says it's a three-star hotel...well, maybe, if the rating was out of 100. The windows did not even have glass, it was just some sort of wooden blinds and the nets. We could hear all the noise from the restaurant downstairs and the people in other rooms doing their stuff. No wall sockets. Awful light in the bedroom. In general, it looked and felt more like a cheap motel. My parents in the other bedroom also found roaches and insects in the bathroom.

the view was extremely beautiful. the beds were comfortable. no dining facilitis or bar in the evening when one needs it most
-
the view and the location is excellent! room’s structure is deteriorated, poor lighting and power for phones, and the wifi was another level of inefficient

I like the history of the hotel. Went on a tour and was told that this was first hotel in Bacalar. The hotel is very clean. The room and the grounds. This hotel needs a serious update. The mattresses need to be replaced for sure. The sink in my bathroom needed to be replaced. Most everything looks to be 20 years or older. There were 4 lounge chairs by the pool. Those are the only lounge chairs on property. We asked if they could move a chair down by the water so I could lounge while my husband swam. They would not and said chairs needed to stay by pool. The private beach is currently closed and there are no other public beaches near by. They have a large property with plenty of areas to lounge but you would need to lay on a towel.

The view with the room, the price and it had A/C. We put beds next to each other to make a huge bed. The towels could be better and more parking. The restaurant is cash only.

The view was amazing . and the beds we very comfortable The hotel needs a revamp. It's out dated or at least a paint job to make it look alive a bit.
-
Amazing locatuon Older property..needs some Reno's. Would still stay there again ..such potential
-
Breakfast N/A Good location Hot water in our room would have been appreciated!
-
The pool was closed the restaurant was closed no hot water it has a view thats all and no coffee everything! Embarrassing and very dissapointing
-
The view is amazing AC unit of another room worked so loud that it was difficult to sleep. It has to be removed from my room's window. My room number was 111. The room has a wall inside, one bed has a window and other beds stay in a dark area without a window. There is no mosquito net on the window. And no fridge in the room. Renovation is highly recommended

Fantastic view of the lagoon--right at the water's edge and breathtakingly beautiful. This hotel was once a very grand and beautiful place, but it has not aged well and it quite rundown. Still in OK shape, but needing attention. Parking was good, beds were comfortable, pool is clean and refreshing. The restaurant was closed and coffee was not consistently available. But there were many eateries nearby. Also, the website advertises kayaks, but there are none to rent at the property. To maximize the view of the lagoon, the rooms have very large picture windows, so the rooms get quite hot with no A\C. So, one must sleep with the windows open and there is A LOT of noise from the road and other guests.
