Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel

The hotel was beautiful, clean, and peaceful. All of the staff was helpful and kind. We will be returning.

Paid for the room on Expedia. Gave credit card at check in for incidentals, but was charged for the room amount instead. Noticed the charge on my credit card statement after I returned home from trip. Have called the hotel a dozen times over the last few days. Left messages and still no return phone call to correct the double charge issue.

They are in need of a serious renovation The staff was excellent though

This was our second time staying at this property and unfortunately may be our last. While thankfully the rooms were very clean and the support staff were friendly, the building itself and amenities such as the pool and gym need a major facelift. The gym was pretty disgusting and the equipment was either broken or just worn down. For a building of its size, we would have expected a significantly larger space. Also the pool area was pretty worn down as well, with an out of service hot tub, small towels, and dead lantern flies surrounding the pool. Some positive notes is that the hotel is in an prime location close to the Inner Harbor and other attractions.

Convenient location for walking to Camden Yards for an O’s game! Room was clean and spacious and breakfast buffet (included) was better than expected and in a lovely dining room. Long lines for elevators though and check in was difficult as rooms weren’t ready by stated time. Would stay again, but be more prepared for those minor challenges.

The hotel was close to everything in Baltimore. It was just a wonderful place!

The hotel is pretty well maintained and in a great location. However, we booked this hotel six months before our travels only to find out that they had given our rooms away for the night due to a concert in the area. We were told they booked us another hotel for the week that was thirty minutes away from all planned activities for us to find out that they had only booked that second hotel for the night. After we complained, they did end up giving us two rooms for the rest of the week, but it was a huge inconvenience to have to go to a new hotel after a rough flight and travel to the original hotel. It set the mood for us to have a less than relaxing vacation after we had planned and looked forward to it for half of the year. This was our second stay the Renaissance because the first one had been so great, so we decided to book it again, but we will not be doing that in the future. I don't care that this is common practice with hotels overbooking not expecting everyone to show up. It is awful that rooms were given to concert goers and families were displaced to inconvenient hotels in other cities.

I loved the stay very clean and I’ll stay again . The breakfast was amazing also .

The room was stained and dirty. The bathroom didn’t have body wash. The shower hose was leaking everywhere when we got there to check in at 3:30 when check-in was at four. They didn’t have a room ready for us then they all of a sudden had a room ready for us and it was supposed to be a king size bed. They gave us a supposed suite with a full-size and or queen bed that was a Murphy bed with a dining room and living room seemed like the space was meant to be connected to other rooms when we asked, the manager said that he would comp some credits which never happened.

I book two rooms for my family and when we got to the hotel they said since we booked with expedia and the rooms are all filled up in the hotel that they can only give me one room instead of the two I booked for me and my family.

It was immaculately clean, the bed was wonderful and very comfortable, the linens were excellent. The location was within walking distance to Camden Yards and right across the street from the inner harbor.

Booked back in March to ensure we had somewhere to stay, but they overbooked and gave away my room. Put us in a rough position since we were really far from home. Gave us a new room that had only 1 bed and a roll out so one of us had to stay 30 min away with a friend. Staff either had no idea what they were talking about or sort of like “oh well, we can’t do anything”. One lady thankfully helped us get the room so we weren’t completely stranded. Have to go through a complicated process to get compensation since we got less than we paid for. Never had this experience before, don’t think I will stay with these hotels again. Too risky.

Disappointing that they could not handle the large quantities of people.

We stayed for two nights. Our room wasn’t ready for 2 hours after check in time. We were able to get comped breakfast for our first morning. Once in the room lights didn’t work and the streaming services for the tv did not work. The hotel is very clean and cafe and restaurant were very good. I would make sure to plan ahead on your check in day to make sure you get into your room.

After waiting in line for 2 hours to check in (no joke), the manager informed us that they had overbooked and we didn’t have a room. I made these reservations 8 months ago!! Their solution was to put us in a hotel 30 minutes away. We were going to a concert and picked this hotel because of the walking distance to the venue, so their solution didn’t help. They wouldn’t reimburse the parking I already paid for either. The manager had an “oh well” attitude and said that no one after us was getting a room either. I stayed at the front desk and the next 3 people in line got a room, so I asked to speak to the manager again. I waited for 20 minutes and she never came out - obviously avoiding me. Terrible experience - and I’m being nice about it.
